Marchioni's Land of Little People

Marchioni's "Land of Little People" did not actually cover much ground, but after the Undetectable Extension Charm had been cast and all kinds of scenes arranged within it, anyone who had been shrunk would feel as if the place stretched on forever—

Ferns and thickets formed a perilous "forest."

Piles of stones became jagged, treacherous slopes and canyons.

The garden puddle had turned into a vast lake, with leaves serving as boats to cross it.

The hollow interior of a fallen, rotting log formed a dark and terrifying tunnel, where all kinds of bugs crawled about, each one frighteningly huge.

A bird's nest was like an enormous trampoline, while crisscrossing branches and vines formed a wondrous, intricate three-dimensional space.

They used bent branches to launch themselves, clung to tough spider silk as they whooshed down from the tops of plants, ventured deep into abandoned ant nests as huge as palaces, and even rode petals lifted by the wind.

Most insects were not as aggressive as that Stag Beetle. Some ignored the humans who walked right up to them, while others, being mild-tempered, could temporarily serve as "transportation."

These little bugs, so ordinary in daily life, revealed dazzling colors and exquisite structures when humans were brought down to their scale.

At first, enlarged insects looked terrifying, but after staring at them for a while, one instead began to sense a different kind of charm.

Not to mention that Marchioni had added all sorts of human structures to the place—

There were castles suited to the size of shrunken people, "Safe Houses" made from coconut shells, and even several homes normally inhabited by full-sized people.

Of course, no one actually lived in the latter, but to shrunken people, the fibers of a carpet were like dense "grassland," and a sweater casually draped
