—Grindelwald was coming?
The news left Wade stunned for a moment.
But for now—at least today—he had no time to dwell on it.
After leaving FMC's American branch, Antoine had to deal with the Acolytes' internal affairs, and Wade had no time to catch up on sleep either.
They had basically gone through all the videos recorded by the Beetle Golem last night, but the documents gathered by the Ant Golems still had not been sorted out!
After returning to Traveler's Rest, Wade immediately entered the Wardrobe Space. Countless tiny ants were waving their six legs, leaving dense writing across the parchments spread all over the floor.
The other Golems were equally busy. Some dried the papers, some refilled the ants' ink, some sorted intelligence, and some handled cleaning. In short, they were all overwhelmed with work.
Wade had barely sat down at his desk when several Little Crabs clattered over, carrying a stack of documents and setting them on the tabletop.
Wilan and Viktor also had sizable piles of documents before them. They sighed and immediately got to work.
It could not be helped. Though they were all Golems, there was an enormous difference in intelligence between one Golem and another.
It had nothing to do with size or appearance, only with the differences in thought Wade had endowed them with when creating them.
Generally speaking, mass-produced Golems of the same type had simple minds. Like ant colonies in nature, they possessed little in the way of complex emotions or thoughts and feared no death, but they could only perform relatively simple tasks.
When it came to sorting through and analyzing intelligence, the Ant Golems were unequal to the task. That could only be left to smarter Golems—such as those of the "Vi" generation.
