Background / History

Lupin was bitten by a werewolf when he was young and became a werewolf himself. During his Hogwarts years, he was friends with James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew. The four created the Marauder's Map: Lupin was Moony, James was Prongs, Sirius was Padfoot, and Peter was Wormtail. James and Sirius secretly became Animagi in their fifth year so they could accompany Lupin during his transformations. 115 151 162
