Wade investigated the kidnapping of the Alchemists and the threats surrounding them while helping Harry protect Sirius from the Ministry. After returning to Hogwarts, Wade and Hermione received Time-Turners and began the school year with Hagrid as their new Care of Magical Creatures professor.

• Wade escaped the exhibition with the Alchemists, learned that Gull had been controlled by the Imperius Curse, and returned home to warn Ferdinand and Fiona about the danger.
• Wade interrogated Will Furlong, learned that Kurt Dar had ordered the kidnapping, and followed the trail to the ship, where he uncovered spies, criminals, and a bomb plot.
• Wade used Rita Skeeter’s reports and his own investigation to track the werewolves, while Ministry officials erased witnesses’ memories and failed to uncover the wider scheme.
• When Fudge tried to arrest Sirius, Wade used the Acolytes’ name to make the Minister withdraw, then reunited with Harry and Dumbledore and brought Whiskers out of Wardrobe Space.
• Wade and Harry visited Diagon Alley, where Sirius bought Harry a Firebolt, and Claire told Lupin that Will’s unknown client had recently been at Hogwarts.
• Rita Skeeter exposed Umbridge in the Daily Prophet, while Wade returned to school and shared umbrellas with his friends during the rainy arrival at Hogwarts.
• McGonagall gave Wade and Hermione Time-Turners after warning them about the risks, and Dumbledore welcomed the students and announced Hagrid as the new Care of Magical Creatures professor.

Wade began a demanding year of classes while using his Time-Turner and helping Hagrid and Neville through difficult moments. After a werewolf attacked Hogsmeade, Wade discovered that Carlyle and Grant White had engineered the attack and were discussing him at Hogwarts.

• Wade used the Time-Turner to manage his packed timetable, attended Arithmancy and Divination, and heard Trelawney predict a death omen for Harry.
• Wade helped Hagrid keep teaching after Malfoy was injured by a Hippogriff, and Hagrid adjusted his lessons to include safer creatures.
• Wade studied Ancient Runes and spoke with Snape about Neville's distress and whether the Longbottoms could recover from the Cruciatus Curse.
• Hagrid and Lupin met at the Three Broomsticks, and Lupin questioned Hagrid about visitors to Hogwarts before concluding his investigation had reached a dead end.
• A werewolf attacked Hogsmeade, where Hagrid restrained it with help from Fred, George, and Professor Kettleburn, and Dumbledore found a broken syringe hidden in its fur.
• Wade followed the attack to a cave, where Carlyle and Hasg Grant White watched a broadcast of Hagrid fighting the werewolf.
• Grant White told Carlyle that Wade Grey had invented the Streaming Mirror and was now at Hogwarts.

Wade uncovered the Organization’s plans and helped Dumbledore bring Carlyle back to Hogwarts, while investigating the experiments that had harmed Remus and developing new magical devices. The arc ended with Abigail and Baird manipulating Carlyle’s attachment to his family as the Organization targeted Wade’s Alchemy and the possibility of creating a Philosopher’s Stone.

• Wade overheard Grant White and Carlyle planning to recruit him, then warned Dumbledore about the Organization’s schemes and the threat to Remus.
• Dumbledore captured the vampires involved in the attack on Lupin and brought Carlyle back to Hogwarts, where Wade learned that Carlyle had once tried to make him jump from a lighthouse.
• Carlyle joined Gryffindor and reunited with his parents in Hogsmeade, who ordered him to keep working toward getting close to Wade.
• Wade and Harry visited the recovering Lupin, who revealed that his missing friend Will had joined an experiment, while Wade investigated the hormone used to induce Lupin’s transformation.
• Wade made a lifelike Red Cap Golem for Professor Abigail and developed the Communication Fava Bean with Professor Murray’s help.
• Wade demonstrated the Fava Bean to Marchioni, who agreed to produce it and warned that prominent Alchemists had disappeared across Europe.
• Wade found Carlyle distressed in Hogsmeade, while Baird secretly reported that the Organization was keeping Carlyle cooperative through family affection.
• Abigail pursued Wade’s commissioned Golem as Baird identified Wade as the Organization’s best prospect for making a Philosopher’s Stone to extend the leader’s life.

Wade and Dumbledore rescued Rita Skeeter and imprisoned children from an island facility that experimented on young wizards, but Mabel’s Obscurus escaped after the rescue. Back at Hogwarts, the students learned of the danger, while Wade continued working with Professor Abigail and asked Professor Sprout about Mabel.

• Abigail learned that Carlyle was Caryll Johnson and remembered her role in covering up the failed capture of Landon Johnson, then saw Carlyle alive at Hogwarts.
• Wade enchanted the students’ schoolbags and developed Golems for Defense Against the Dark Arts as Professor Abigail planned new challenges for the Basilisk Secret Chamber.
• Rita Skeeter escaped to the island and sent Wade a counterfeit Book of Friends, prompting Wade and Dumbledore to follow her owl there.
• Wade and Dumbledore discovered that the island’s staff imprisoned and harvested children, then Wade freed Rita and the other captives while searching for Hailey.
• Mabel’s Obscurus killed the Bell Man and rampaged through the facility, so Wade reversed time and returned with professors to help save Hailey and rescue the children.
• Hailey called Mabel back from the Obscurus, but Mabel later transformed again and escaped from the ship as Fudge ordered her capture.
• Dumbledore arranged care for the rescued children while Percy told Hogwarts students that Muggle groups had abducted young wizards, and Wade asked Professor Sprout whether Mabel had escaped.
