After the doctor left, only W and Ines remained in the room.

At that moment, W finally voiced her doubts.

"This is..."

"On a ship."

"A ship...?"

Ines's decisive answer did not resolve W's confusion. Instead, it only deepened it. However, that state did not last long.

W quickly came back to her senses. Thinking of the identity of the figure she had seen before losing consciousness, the answer was already obvious.

The ship Ines spoke of was most likely that great vessel—the ship belonging to their employer. However, that was not what concerned her right now.

"...How are we still alive?"

"In short, we were rescued."

"...Then where is this?"

Having received a simple explanation, W nodded.

For her, that information was enough. At the very least, it proved that what she had seen was not some false illusion.

"The transport convoy itself. The ship we had been escorting all along. It's temporarily housing some wounded now." As she spoke, Ines looked around at the walls. Then, her gaze shifted outside the window. "It looks like these are all facilities still under construction. I really don't understand how this ship is built. I've never heard of anything like it."

"But the shadow I saw back then really was... Better not dig into it."

There was some information Ines did not reveal. It was information she had obtained through her abilities. Perhaps it was not important, but pursuing it would inevitably stir up unnecessary trouble. So she chose to let it go. She did not intend to tell anyone, planning to bury that information in her heart.

W did not notice Ines's odd behavior—or perhaps she simply did not care.

"...Where's Hedley?"

"...He's negotiating with the employer... no, he's negotiating with... the master of this place."
