Hayato walked down the dimly lit street.

"Hell's Kitchen is pretty chaotic at night, isn't it? Did you come here for something, chasing criminals?" Hayato casually struck up a conversation.

"No..." Peter said sheepishly. "There was a time-sensitive delivery that paid a full hundred dollars. The subway would've been too slow, so I swung over on webbing."

Hayato wanted to laugh, yet he also admired him.

Peter clearly needed money badly, yet all he could think of was using his superpowers to deliver takeout and packages...

"What were you delivering? The pay was pretty good."

Hayato asked casually, just making conversation.

"I don't know. It was in a kraft paper bag, probably some documents. Oh, right, that guy seemed to be a lawyer. Like you, he was blind—wait, you're not blind..."

Hayato caught two key words: "lawyer" and "blind." Combined with the fact that this was Hell's Kitchen, they made him think of a superhero—Daredevil, also known as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

Daredevil dressed in a dark style and resembled Batman. He also followed a "no killing" rule.

Batman did not kill because he wanted to avoid falling into depravity.

He knew the darkness in his own heart well. He understood that when one stared into the abyss, the abyss stared back.

It was self-restraint.

Daredevil did not kill because of his religion and the goals behind his actions.

First, Matthew was a devout believer who actively practiced his faith.

Second, he knew the limitations of the law. Too much evil lay beyond its reach, which was why he became a vigilante. Yet he still hoped that evildoers would be judged by the law, keeping the outcome within its framework. On a deeper level, Matthew believed that human lives belonged to the god he worshipped.
