History
Konoha was already established when Hashirama defeated a Hyuga Clan leader and Hyuga Quanjie of that era, after which the Hyuga Clan joined the newly founded village. The clan later retained significant autonomy, including an agreement limiting Konoha's involvement in its internal affairs. 175 180
Under the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen treated Hyuga Hayato's recruitment into the ANBU as both a military decision and a political signal intended to ease relations between Konoha and the Hyuga Clan after the Uchiha Clan's destruction. 8 9
Tsunade's succession marked a public shift in Konoha's leadership. Before taking office, she visited major clans and notable contributors, publicly recognizing Hayato's achievements and ending his covert ANBU career. 114 115 128
The Hyuga Elder Council crisis forced Konoha's leadership to intervene in Hyuga affairs. The Council was ultimately annihilated, while Hayato and Neji emerged as prominent defenders of both the clan and village. 180 182 190
