Facing the powerful wizard, the Sea Giant had no choice but to summon several massive Sea Tornadoes around himself, gripping the Golden Trident as he confronted the white-robed wizard.
"Damn invader, leave this world!!!"
His powerful, commanding voice echoed through the minds of every wizard and apprentice in the Floating City. The Sea Giant tried to intimidate the lifeforms within that strange floating structure in this manner.
"How laughable. Something that barely even counts as a person has no right to order us to leave."
Krite had appeared beside Taylor at some point. Standing shoulder to shoulder with him, he looked down at the helpless Sea Giant beneath the Floating City, who was even resorting to such a ridiculous method to threaten them. Krite smiled faintly, his expression full of contempt for the Sea Giant's ignorant behavior.
Noticing Krite beside him, Taylor raised his head and asked curiously.
"Teacher, is that enormous teal giant below the city already the strongest existence in this plane?"
In his view, when a plane was invaded, its strongest expert would usually be the first to step forward and face the enemy.
"That's right. In fact, Wizard Tucker had already infiltrated this plane in advance through special means to observe it. That Sea Giant truly is the strongest existence in this plane."
"Oh, and let me mention this as well. Wizard Tucker is the strongest expert and organizer of this planar invasion. He is a renowned Level 3 Wizard."
As Krite nodded in reply, he stared greedily at the Sea Giant below.
A towering body, command over the waves, and that Golden Trident in his hand was made of no ordinary material. Its energy conductivity was astonishingly good. His body could even connect with seawater and merge into one with it. What an interesting existence.
Moreover, since he could fight Wizard Tucker, he was certainly a native Level 3 Lifeform of this plane. Even his bones, flesh, blood, and flakes of skin contained manifestations of his power. They were all knowledge and truth.
One had to know that in some planes, Level 3 Lifeforms were called gods.
I really want to dissect him, divide his bones and flesh, and investigate the secrets of his strength—his energy level, bodily structure, and energy pathways.
Even getting a scale would do.
Krite was already a Level 1 Lifeform who had entered the extraordinary realm. With his eyesight, he could naturally notice the unknown runes faintly appearing and disappearing on the Sea Giant's scales. They were presumably manifestations and applications of the Sea Giant's own power.
"Uh, Teacher, what secrets does that Sea Giant possess?"
Taylor noticed that his teacher Krite's eyes had gone wide, as though he wished he could dig them out and stick them onto the Sea Giant. Taylor's mouth twitched as he asked.
Mainly because that gaze was far too fervent. It even gave Taylor the feeling that some pervert was voyeuristically staring at someone, making his skin crawl.
"This big fellow is the embodiment of knowledge itself. Simply standing there allows wizards to discover knowledge."
Krite reluctantly withdrew his gaze, pointed at the Sea Giant, and spoke to Taylor.
"The more powerful a lifeform is, the greater the power contained in its skin, blood, and bones. Sometimes, this power will further manifest as symbols, runes, and similar things through the systems the lifeform has learned or through other methods, flowing through the bodies of these powerful lifeforms as manifestations of their power.
"This power flowing through blood, bones, and flesh can be inherited through the knowledge, memories, will, symbols, and other things contained within the blood. The most direct examples are Dragons and Titans. From the moment they are born, they can comprehend powerful strength through the knowledge, power, and all kinds of symbols deep within their bloodlines..."
Through Krite's explanation, Taylor finally understood why Krite looked at the Sea Giant with such greed, longing, and fervor.
If it were him, he would probably even scoop up two spoonfuls of the Sea Giant's shit to study carefully.
In the eyes of wizards, the more powerful a lifeform was, the more treasures and knowledge it contained. Conversely, weaker lifeforms possessed energy that was far too feeble to manifest as runes, symbols, or unknown patterns, leaving them with little research value.
The higher a lifeform's level, the stronger the power contained within it. Once that power reached a certain degree, it would gradually undergo changes. Those changes were the runes, symbols, and other things flowing within a lifeform's body, further explaining the might of that power through information.
These runes, symbols, and other markings were manifestations and explanations of one's own power. They were also the tracing and representation of power's essence, proof of the lifeform's strength, and could amplify and coordinate the lifeform's own power.
Finally, Krite said with emotion, "The stronger the lifeform, the more complex and beautiful the runes and symbols it manifests on its body or within itself will be. Their amplification of its power will also be stronger."
"Sometimes, the powerful themselves are manifestations and treasures of knowledge and truth."
So, in the eyes of wizards, were those mythically powerful existences merely walking repositories of knowledge, one after another?
Hearing this, Taylor could not help but imagine what it would look like if wizards placed even more powerful lifeforms onto the operating table—demons, Angels, devils, or even gods like those he had read about in books—and analyzed the symbols and runes manifested by the power within their bodies.
And what would it be like if he personally dissected those powerful creatures in the future?
After all, he was merely an ordinary wizard with principles, respect for rules, and a love of knowledge.
Not some Demon King.
While Taylor and Krite were talking, the battle between Wizard Tucker and the Sea Giant had also reached a fever pitch.
Wizard Tucker seemed to have transformed into Thor himself, the embodiment of lightning and the incarnation of will. Every gesture he made was accompanied by terrifying thunderbolts, and everything within a thousand miles had become an ocean of lightning.
These bolts of lightning were far stronger than natural lightning and brimming with terrifying magical power. They bombarded the Sea Giant, making the entire plane tremble beneath Wizard Tucker's thunder.
As the master of lightning, Wizard Tucker walked through that terrifying sea of thunder. Under his will, the dreadful lightning transformed into the most fearsome weapons, taking countless forms as they bombarded the Sea Giant madly.
The Sea Giant roared loudly, raising his Golden Trident with a crazed expression. The entire ocean stirred into towering tsunamis at his command. With the advantage of fighting on his home ground, he mobilized endless Water Element power. Sea Tornadoes that reached from heaven to earth seemed to connect the sea and sky as they continuously collided with the boundless sea of lightning.
Water, which had once been incomparably gentle and nourished all things, became the most terrifying blade in the Sea Giant's hands. The sky-piercing Sea Tornadoes carried destructive power, and under the dual enhancement of the Sea Giant's strength and their high-speed rotation, even a single ordinary drop of seawater possessed unimaginable lethality.
With the ocean's enhancement, the Sea Giant actually fought Wizard Tucker to a deadlock. Yet the Sea Giant knew that this boost was only temporary. His opponent was stronger than he had imagined. While the other side remained calm, he was already baring his teeth, his face twisted in ferocity.
The Floating City had long since retreated far away to prepare for the invasion of this plane. As for the battle between Wizard Tucker and the Sea Giant, battles at their level could last for months and still be considered short.
Both possessed the power to destroy the world. Such was the great might held by Level 3 Lifeforms known as "gods."
