Background / History

Maggie is Anglie Leo's distant cousin. Her family fell into poverty and sought refuge with the Leo Family; her parents work in Kyle Castle in exchange for wages, leaving Maggie in a substantially lower position than Anglie's half-sister Cilier. She and Cilier nevertheless cultivate closeness with Anglie, whose expected succession would strongly affect their security. 2 7

After Anglie returns to the castle following his injury, Maggie waits with Cilier to check on him. She becomes one of his regular attendants, answering his calls, carrying messages, escorting others, and reporting on castle affairs. 2 3 4 9 11

Maggie asks Anglie to arrange less strenuous work for her mother, Alice. Anglie raises the matter with Ward, and her mother is transferred to an easier position; Maggie is visibly grateful afterward. 7

When Kyle Castle falls into crisis, Maggie witnesses Anglie repel the rebels and chooses to flee with him, Baron Kyle, Cilier, and the loyal survivors. Her parents support the decision, seeing Anglie's strength and importance to the group. 23
