In his residence, Gu Mo stood before the mirror on his bedroom wardrobe, opened the Status Panel, and chose to level up and allocate his points. He looked utterly drained.
He had overexerted himself before and needed more than two full days of rest before recovering. He had deeply realized just how inadequate his foundation was, but he had not delayed for long. Instead, he resumed grinding experience... only this time, he did not use his previous rapid farming method. He planned to grind by himself first and fill up the last bit of experience needed for his current level.
The Experience Bar was already nearly full. As long as he leveled up once more and invested another point, judging by the trend of greater gains at higher levels, his stamina would receive a very noticeable boost. In other words, he would be able to sustain his Guardian Spirit's ultimate move for longer and farm more steadily.
There was nothing wrong with that idea. After all, he had a limited number of monster-luring items on hand, so he naturally had to use them carefully and maximize the benefits every time.
The only problem was that the low-level monsters in this Dungeon were truly pathetic cannon fodder. Each one gave a ridiculously tiny amount of experience, and under normal circumstances, they would always detour around him from far away. Just finding them was difficult enough...
As a result, it took Gu Mo several more days to fill that seemingly "small" remaining portion of the Experience Bar.
Thinking back on the process made his liver ache faintly. It felt like downloading a huge file, watching the progress bar race through the first ninety percent, only for the internet speed to
