Background / History

Anko is identified as Orochimaru's last disciple and the bearer of his Heavenly Curse Mark. The mark had made her a subject of ANBU surveillance and later attracted Root's interest as an experimental specimen. Its power could violently consume her chakra, spread black markings over her body, and allow Orochimaru to exert his will remotely through her. 21 22 27
