Taking Down Aron

Facing the raging sandstorm, Gary had a countermeasure ready. Before Aron could celebrate for long, he called out to Blastoise, which was trapped within the sandstorm.

"Blastoise, use Rain Dance!"

Two azure energy spheres shot from the cannons on Blastoise's back and exploded in midair. A small dark cloud appeared overhead, instantly covering the area engulfed by the sandstorm.

Just a few seconds later, raindrops poured down from beneath the cloud, bringing all the swirling sand to the ground.

Tyranitar's sandstorm was swiftly and completely dispelled by Blastoise's Rain Dance.

"What?!" Seeing this, Aron immediately wore an expression of disbelief.

But Gary had no intention of giving Aron time to be shocked. Taking advantage of his distraction, he gave Blastoise its next command.

"Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" With a sweep of Gary's hand, a torrent blasted from the cannon, racing straight toward Tyranitar.

Tyranitar tried to dodge, but the Hydro Pump came too suddenly. Blastoise's attack struck Tyranitar without any obstruction.

Hydro Pump, a Water-type move, dealt massive damage to the Rock-type Tyranitar. It was forced back several meters by the fierce water column before finally coming to a stop.

Seeing this, Aron knew that Tyranitar was no match for Blastoise. After his eyes shifted slightly, he came up with an idea.

Aron then began directing Tyranitar, which had not yet become Unable to Battle, to launch another wave of attacks.

"Tyranitar, Dark Pulse!"

Tyranitar rallied and quickly gathered Dark-type energy before unleashing Dark Pulse at Blastoise. A purple-black beam shot straight toward it.

"Flash Cannon!"

Blastoise immediately counterattacked with Flash Cannon. One black and one white attack clashed in midair.

But just as the two moves collided, Aron began making his move. Taking advantage of Gary's apparent inattention, he secretly pulled out a Poké Ball, preparing to launch a sneak attack.

What he failed to notice was that Rosa, standing nearby, had already seen everything he was doing.

As Tyranitar fell into a disadvantageous position against Gary, Aron decisively threw the Poké Ball in his hand, releasing another Pokémon—a level 51 Fearow.

"Fearow, use Drill Peck!"

While Gary was caught off guard, Fearow used Drill Peck and launched a sneak attack on Blastoise.

But before Fearow could strike Blastoise, a crisp voice rang out beside Gary and Aron.

"Unfezant, use Quick Attack!"

A streak of white light flashed through Gary and Aron's vision, slamming into the equally unaware Fearow. Fearow was sent flying on the spot by the impact.

Tyranitar's attention was also diverted, and its Dark Pulse was crushed by Blastoise's Flash Cannon. It too was forced back several steps by the aftershock of Flash Cannon.

"How could this be?" Aron found it hard to believe that his little scheme had been interrupted.

"I've been watching you the whole time. Your little tricks didn't escape my eyes." Rosa stepped out from behind Gary with a cheerful smile.

"It was you!" Aron glared fiercely at Rosa beside Gary.

"That's right, it was me." Rosa puffed out her chest and replied proudly.

"Nice work!" Gary gave Rosa a thumbs-up for what she had just done.

"It was nothing." Rosa responded happily at Gary's praise.

"Alright, time to finish them off." After praising her, Gary looked at Aron's two Pokémon and spoke to Rosa.

"Okay."

After Rosa agreed, she and Gary immediately directed Blastoise and Unfezant to launch their final offensive.

"Blastoise! Unfezant! Use your final Hyper Beam!"

After exchanging a glance, Gary and Rosa gave the same command in perfect unison.

The instant their words fell, two orange beams targeted Tyranitar and Fearow, tearing through the air as they surged forward.

The result was unsurprising. Under the assault of the two powerful Hyper Beams, both Tyranitar and Fearow collapsed to the ground, covered in injuries and unconscious.

"How did this happen?"

As for Aron, after his two Pokémon were defeated, he looked utterly devastated.

Taking the opportunity, Gary and Blastoise used a sturdy rope to bind Aron tightly.

Meanwhile, Rosa used Poké Balls to recall Tyranitar and Fearow, both Unable to Battle, and locked the Poké Balls shut.

Thus, Aron, the Pokémon poacher who had run rampant for so long, was defeated and captured by Gary and Rosa.

"Alright, next we need to notify the local Officer Jenny."

After everything had been dealt with, Gary took out his phone and contacted the local Officer Jenny.

Upon learning that the notorious Aron had been captured, Officer Jenny immediately hung up and led a team to Gary's location.

Only a few minutes later, Officer Jenny arrived with a squad of police officers at the place where Gary and Rosa were.

When Officer Jenny and the others saw the bound Aron, they showed surprised expressions. However, their professionalism quickly took over, and they saluted Gary and Rosa to express their gratitude.

"Thank you both for helping us capture the wanted criminal Aron."

"You're welcome. It was what we should have done." Facing Officer Jenny's thanks, Rosa waved her hand with a smile.

After handing Aron over to Officer Jenny and the other officers, Gary went with them to the police station and gave a statement, detailing what had happened.

Of course, besides giving their statements, Gary and Rosa also received an unexpected reward at the station: the bounty for the poacher Aron.

After completing all the necessary procedures at the police station, Gary and Rosa left with their rewards and continued their journey through Petalburg Woods.
