"A bunch of bastard seniors."
Uchiha Yū covered his forehead speechlessly, stepped aside to distance himself from them, then turned back to look at Pakura.
"Only the strong are worthy of knowing my name, Miss Pakura."
Having satisfied his twisted sense of amusement, Uchiha Yū used the Body Flicker Technique to appear behind her during the moment she was distracted.
Pakura was likewise a genius of the Sand Village and possessed a unique bloodline limit. Yet the instant Uchiha Yū closed in, she failed to see how he had gotten there.
He lightly patted her shoulder. He had no intention of leaving behind some wonderful encounter in the Sand Village.
Women would only slow down his draw!
"Bastard!"
After being toyed with, Pakura tried to punch back, but the instant she moved, Uchiha Yū had already dodged.
He stepped forward and struck Pakura in the abdomen.
"Damn Konoha brat, get lost!"
"Big Sis Pakura..."
"You Konoha people are really too much."
A group of brats surrounded him. Uchiha Yū had no interest in tangling with them and used the Body Flicker Technique to return to his team.
Pakura was indeed a genius, but so was Uchiha Yū. Moreover, he grew faster than ordinary shinobi. Even among Konoha's new generation, Uchiha Yū was the strongest, enough to make his companions feel despair.
Inside a room in the Sand Village, Chiyo watched Pakura get taught a lesson but did not intervene. At the end of the day, it was merely a fight between two children and would not affect the decisions of the great powers.
However, seeing the look in his eyes, Chiyo became more thoughtful. She said to Ebizo beside her:
"Konoha's new generation is getting stronger and stronger. The accompanying shinobi said he is a medical-nin. He spends a great deal of time studying medical ninjutsu, yet he has also trained his taijutsu to such perfection."
"And with the way he is dressed..."
"He's from the Uchiha Clan, isn't he?"
Ebizo took a deep breath, clasped his hands behind his back, and studied the group of shinobi below before sighing.
"He truly is an extraordinary little fellow."
No matter how strong he was, they could not make a move within the village. Furthermore, they were currently allies with Konoha. Ebizo was more interested in another matter.
"Sister, how do you plan to develop medical-nin?"
After observing them along the way, they understood just how helpful medical-nin could be in a shinobi war. The initial investment might be enormous, but the eventual returns could greatly reduce shinobi casualties. Given enough time, the gap would become apparent.
"The Third Kazekage is troubled by it. We are very different from Konoha, so we can only use medicine to substitute for medical-nin."
Chiyo had studied medical ninjutsu and investigated Tsunade. The prerequisite for medical ninjutsu was Yang Release chakra. This type of chakra could not be detected, was extremely rare, and could not be acquired through training.
Furthermore, the resources required were immense. Training a single medical-nin meant squeezing out the resources for at least three shinobi. For a village that was already poor, it was nothing less than adding frost to snow.
"Ah."
The two sighed together, filled mostly with helplessness.
"I'll go talk to that little fellow."
After saying that, Chiyo left the room.
Below, Uchiha Yū was becoming thoroughly annoyed by the group of brats around him. Yet he could not act against them, so he simply stayed with his team. Pakura even declared that she would definitely defeat him.
"What an irritating bunch of brats. I'm only passing through, not living here. Do you really have to crowd around me?"
A middle-aged woman walked out from the alley and said appreciatively:
"You're a brat yourself, one from the Uchiha Clan."
Her appearance left the jonin present stunned, because the person before them was Chiyo!
Knowing Chiyo's great reputation, no one dared disregard the powerful woman before them. Even if they joined forces, they might not be able to defeat her.
Aburame Hanfeng, who had been watching from behind, immediately stepped in front of Uchiha Yū and met her gaze head-on.
"So it's Lady Chiyo. The children were only playing around. There was no need to bring out a powerful figure like yourself, was there?"
The group of children who had been shouting moments earlier immediately wilted when they saw Chiyo. Pakura raised her middle finger at You and promptly left the scene.
She did not want Chiyo getting ahold of her and making her undergo another round of grueling training.
"Of course it isn't over such a trivial matter."
Chiyo shifted her gaze away from Aburame Hanfeng and settled it on Uchiha Yū. She spoke with clear appreciation:
"A strong member of Konoha's new generation. I heard you are a medical-nin. I have some accomplishments in the medical field myself. The Third Kazekage and your leaders will need some time to discuss matters."
"I have some patients here. Come with me and take a look at them."
After hearing her words, the Konoha shinobi immediately drew their weapons, while Aburame Hanfeng demanded:
"Lady Chiyo, this is too much. You is a shinobi of Konoha."
Ignoring their vigilance and refusal, she replied in an unquestionable tone:
"There is no need to be nervous. I merely want him to treat a few patients. I guarantee with my reputation that nothing will go wrong. If you do not believe me, you may come along."
As both sides remained at an impasse, Uchiha Yū's voice broke the silence.
"Since Lady Chiyo has sincerely extended the invitation, I'll make the trip."
He placed his right hand against Hanfeng's chest, stopping him from taking things further, and quietly whispered into his ear:
"They won't attack me. They probably want to obtain healing ninjutsu from me. I'll just demonstrate it once in front of her."
The Konoha shinobi knew that healing ninjutsu was unimaginably difficult, or Tsunade would not have been troubled by it for so long.
For safety's sake, Aburame Hanfeng stayed by Uchiha Yū's side.
Chiyo did not delay. She brought the two of them to a medical room, where there were shinobi injured while carrying out missions.
The Sand Village understood the importance of medical care and the significance of shinobi to the village. Among the Five Great Shinobi Villages, it had always been the one pushing forward medical development.
"Give me a hand, boy."
Before them was a shinobi whose arm had been slashed by a kunai. The flesh around the wound had already turned black. Chiyo deliberately had him treat the injury because she wanted to see how advanced his medical ninjutsu was.
Unfortunately, Uchiha Yū had not yet learned the Chakra Scalpel and could only use tools to dig out all the damaged flesh.
The man endured the pain as he watched his flesh get carved away bit by bit. If Chiyo had not been standing beside him, he would have thought Konoha had sent someone to assassinate him.
"The outer flesh has all necrosed. Leaving the rotten flesh behind will only delay the wound's healing."
After everything had been dealt with, the Healing Technique covered his palm and stimulated the man's cells to heal.
