Just two days later, he was close to getting what he wanted. But nothing ever came easy.
Yakushi Kabuto came to Feng alone with news that could be good or bad.
"Master, the new eyes in Otsutsuki Toneri's sockets—the Tenseigan, as you called them—are nearly stable.
"But there's a serious problem. As the Tenseigan stabilizes, his body's ability to heal and his chakra reserves are soaring.
"Many of our Sealing Jutsu and drugs already have little effect on him. Some have stopped working altogether.
"Once the Tenseigan fully stabilizes, the methods we're using to restrain him may all fail. If you want his Tenseigan then, you'll have to defeat him after his transformation is complete.
"And if he thinks he's going to lose, he may decide to destroy them rather than let an enemy have them.
"So, Master, how should we handle this?"
Kabuto finished his report.
"This..."
Feng fell silent. For once, he had no idea what to do.
He knew how absurdly powerful a true Tenseigan was. He had seen in the anime how strong Toneri became after obtaining one.
Kabuto was only guessing that Toneri might destroy the Tenseigan if he lost.
But Feng knew what Toneri had done in the original anime: after losing to Naruto, he had tried to take the entire Ninja World down with him. Destroying the Tenseigan was absolutely something he would do.
If Feng did nothing, he would most likely lose the Tenseigan he had been dreaming of—and have to face an opponent who could use it.
But Kabuto had made it clear that Sealing Jutsu and drugs were already next to useless.
In other words, unless they removed the still-forming Tenseigan from Toneri's sockets right now, anything
