(PS: A supplement to the previous chapters. I'm not someone who likes conspiracy theories about Naruto. As I said before, Kishimoto was just a lousy manga artist—he didn't understand Naruto at all.
There were too many contradictions and plot holes between the earlier and later parts of Naruto. But for that very reason, everyone who loved Naruto had their own reasons for loving it.
It was precisely because I genuinely loved Naruto that I wrote a Naruto novel of my own.
Everyone understood Naruto differently, so let's seek common ground while accepting our differences. If you have differing opinions, feel free to leave them and discuss them with other readers.
But before writing, I looked up some information and wrote the Naruto world as I understood it. Still, there were definitely parts that wouldn't satisfy every reader. I hope you understand!)
According to that old bastard Hiruzen Sarutobi, there's still a month before the Ninja Academy starts. Once I'm there, there should be fewer ninja keeping an eye on me.
And all the major clans will arrange ninja to protect their descendants. That's also to prevent any accidents at the Ninja Academy.
The number of ninja secretly guarding each person shouldn't be large—one or two at most. Otherwise, if you tossed a shuriken into the bushes outside a classroom full of students, wouldn't it hit over a dozen surveillance ninja?
Just endure for one more month. Then I'll have relatively more freedom. And once I'm at the Ninja Academy, I'll get to see the future Konoha rookies, especially Hinata.
Naruto had inherited the original Naruto's memories, so he naturally remembered how, when he was little, he had encountered someone bullying young Hinata and stepped forward to protect her. Though he had gotten beaten black and blue, that clichéd hero-saving-the-damsel routine had often been enough to move Hinata's heart.
Thinking back to the way Hinata had practically gazed at him with lovestruck eyes, Naruto somewhat wanted to see her too.
What boy wouldn't be moved by a girl like Hinata?
Hinata had been adorable as a child, and once she grew up, both her looks and figure were top-notch!
Moreover, Hinata was gentle, kind, and strong. Soft on the outside but tough within, she inspired the urge to protect her, yet her heart was also incredibly strong and brave.
Hinata was wholeheartedly devoted to Naruto. No matter what hardships or dangers they encountered, she was always the first to step forward to protect and support him.
Hinata had gradually grown from someone lacking confidence and prone to giving up into a strong, brave ninja who never admitted defeat. This had also been influenced by Naruto's ninja way of never giving up.
As the eldest daughter of the main family of the prestigious Hyuga Clan, Hinata possessed an illustrious family background. The Hyuga Clan was one of the top clans in Konoha Village.
Though they had never produced any truly peak-level fighters, they were at least one of Konoha Village's main pillars.
In conclusion, if he didn't marry Hinata, he would be letting his little brother down!
For the next week, Naruto stayed at home, eating when he was full and sleeping when he was tired, then eating again after he woke up.
Kakashi-sensei occasionally brought Naruto nutritious food, as well as clothes and household supplies.
He had truly provided Naruto with timely help.
Given Naruto's current status, even if he had money, he couldn't buy anything decent outside.
Kakashi-sensei had noticed this as well and did his best to do more for Naruto.
As Kakashi secretly took care of Naruto, the gloomy aura around him slowly dissipated. His daily hope became simply watching to see whether Naruto was living well each day.
Over that week, Naruto's abilities had also improved considerably. In terms of chakra, he had already reached the level of an elite chunin and was about to break through to jonin level.
The ramen he had treated Choza Akimichi and Choji Akimichi to had also been acknowledged by the system. He had completed a repeatable mission and received more nutritious food.
There were all kinds of food, far more varied than the canned goods from before.
Naruto could even give himself an extra meal from time to time, living quite comfortably.
So after this period, Naruto had completely made up for his previously malnourished body. Not only was he now brimming with energy, but his nutrition was also keeping up.
His body was growing rapidly, and the whisker marks on his face had gradually faded away. Coupled with his brilliant smile, he looked just like a little sun—a second little Minato!
After settling down for a week, it's time to go out for a walk. I haven't received a single mission this week, and the last one was given by Hiruzen Sarutobi. It seems I'll only have a greater chance of receiving missions if I interact more with characters from the original story.
The rewards from missions can help me grow stronger quickly, or bring me some unexpected surprises!
Seeing that Naruto was finally leaving the house instead of staying cooped up inside, Kakashi-sensei felt somewhat relieved. The kid was finally no longer a shut-in.
Still, he was worried. If Naruto went out like this, could he really endure all the villagers' gossip?
The facts proved that as Naruto grew stronger, he had become immune to the villagers' malice.
How ridiculous. Have you people ever seen the Nine-Tails? I have! The malice on the Nine-Tails is far stronger than yours. You lot? Heh, not worth mentioning!
Naruto wandered aimlessly through the streets. Sensing Kakashi protecting him in secret, he became even more fearless.
Early in the story, Kakashi had been considered one of the rare few without rivals in Naruto, so he could naturally keep Naruto safe.
Suddenly, a little white dog darted out from the roadside, chased by a child with black spiky hair, gray clothes, and red inverted-triangle markings on his cheeks.
That look... is this Kiba when he was little? Then this must be Akamaru.
Ding! System mission issued: Please obtain Akamaru's affection.
Oh? This time, the target is Akamaru? Naruto was pleased that a mission had finally arrived after so long.
"Hey, hey, hey, Akamaru! Where are you running off to?" Kiba finally caught up to Akamaru and said breathlessly.
When Akamaru saw Naruto blocking its path, it immediately started barking loudly. The little guy might have been small, but it sure had a temper!
Naruto crouched down and made a strange sound with his mouth.
"Tsk tsk tsk, tsk tsk tsk, tsk tsk tsk!"
This was a mysterious command from China. Most puppies simply couldn't resist it!
Sure enough, upon hearing Naruto's command, Akamaru instantly quieted down. It stared carefully at Naruto and slowly approached him.
Seeing Akamaru move toward Naruto, Kiba thought Akamaru might be trying to hurt him and shouted, "Hey, you over there! Be careful! Akamaru is usually only friendly with me. It might attack anyone else!"
To his surprise, as Akamaru approached Naruto, Naruto grabbed it and pinned it to the ground. Akamaru had just been about to resist.
Then Naruto's hands began working their magic all over Akamaru's body.
"What amazing technique! Where did you learn that?" Kiba clicked his tongue in amazement as he watched Naruto's movements.
Akamaru had initially wanted to resist, but the sensations coursing through its body were truly comfortable.
In an instant, its fierce barking turned into soft, adorably fierce whimpers, and its little tail began spinning like a propeller.
It was about to take off!
This was Naruto's superb dog-petting technique from China. To people in this world, it was simply an overwhelming advantage.
After petting Akamaru for a while, Naruto had made it so blissful that it had practically reached the pinnacle of dog life!
As Kiba watched from the side and tried to learn Naruto's technique, he asked, "You've really got some skills. What's your name? If you've earned Akamaru's approval, then you're my friend too. I'm Kiba, Kiba Inuzuka!"
Hearing that, Naruto put down Akamaru and said to Kiba, "My name is Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki. I'm the man who'll become Hokage in the future!"
"Hahahaha! I want to become Hokage too. Looks like we're rivals! From now on, you're my friend, Naruto!"
"Woof woof woof!" Akamaru barked as it rubbed against Naruto's pant leg, making it clear that it counted too!
"Nice to meet you, Kiba!"
Naruto had not said that carelessly. He knew there were ANBU monitoring him nearby, and they would report every word and action of his to Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Only by making him believe Naruto possessed that so-called Will of Fire could he earn his trust and make him lower his guard. Only then could Naruto have greater freedom in the future.
And becoming Hokage truly was Naruto's goal.
This was the world of Naruto. A Pirate King who didn't want to become Hokage wasn't a good Soul Reaper!
Becoming Hokage meant obtaining Konoha Village's authority, at least on the surface. And if Naruto also possessed the corresponding strength, then he could swagger through Konoha Village without fear.
It would also allow him to better face the future crises.
After hearing Naruto's words, Kakashi's expression behind his mask instantly turned tearful. Sensei, Naruto... he might really be able to become Hokage!
Congratulations, Host. You have completed the mission and obtained Akamaru's approval. Reward: Animal Affinity Animal Affinity: All animals will become friendlier toward the Host and will not rashly attack the Host.
That said, as expected of a reward obtained from Akamaru, this Animal Affinity was currently of no use to Naruto.
But if Naruto acquired summon animals in the future, or when he went to train in sage arts, this passive ability might come in handy.
Ninja beasts were animals too!
After obtaining Animal Affinity, Akamaru became even closer to Naruto, as though Naruto were its true master.
"Hey, hey, hey, Akamaru, don't be like that! I'm your master!" Seeing Akamaru like Naruto so much, Kiba became a little jealous. The Inuzuka Clan treasured their ninja dogs dearly.
"Hahahaha, don't fuss over something like that. Come on, Kiba. To celebrate us becoming friends, I'll treat you to Ichiraku Ramen. It's really delicious!" Naruto said, holding Akamaru in his arms with one hand and draping his right arm over Kiba's shoulder.
"Ichiraku Ramen? I've heard of it for a long time, but I've never gone there. Since you say so, Naruto, let's go. I won't hold back—I'm eating two bowls!"
"Woof woof woof!" Akamaru barked too.
It was making sure they didn't forget about it.
"Hahahaha, don't worry, Akamaru. I'll order you a bowl too!"
Akamaru's little tail kept smacking Naruto, showing that it was in a very good mood too.
