"Poor ninja? How could Konoha have a title like that?"

Kakashi could not understand. In his eyes, there were only useless people and geniuses.

Yet Might Guy suddenly grew dejected. "Kakashi, what he said is true!

"You should know about how I enrolled back then. In truth, my father wasn't qualified to recommend me for admission!

"Many of my childhood friends couldn't enroll either. Only later did I learn that the Third Hokage had made an exception for me!"

Kakashi was utterly astonished, but looking at the Lightning Release scroll in Qian Yun's hand, he still felt unwilling to accept it.

"Is your Lightning Release chakra that strong?

"You're already able to learn jōnin-level Lightning Release?"

Might Guy looked up in shock, but Qian Yun calmly shook his head.

"I don't know Lightning Release!

"I had only heard of Lord Kakashi's reputation. I bought the scroll because I wanted to learn the Three-Body Technique for self-defense!"

The first move in forging bonds: sincerity.

The moment he said that, Might Guy and Kakashi froze. They had originally assumed Qian Yun was a young genius.

But now, it seemed they had made a huge misunderstanding.

Kakashi gave a dry cough, then began teaching the Three-Body Technique with a straight face.

"First, focus your mind, regulate your breathing, relax your limbs, form the hand seals, and extract chakra!"

Qian Yun was startled. All this time, he had overlooked one thing: the most basic chakra extraction technique.

He had assumed that as long as he made those movements, it counted as chakra extraction.

He had not known there were classic little tricks involved.

Not only was Qian Yun dumbfounded, even Might Guy and Kakashi stood there with their mouths agape.

Qian Yun dispelled the chakra and smiled bitterly. "I used to do odd jobs at Konoha Hospital. Three days ago, there were layoffs, and because I couldn't use the Mystical Palm Technique, I was dismissed!

Uchiha A casually remarked, and Uchiha B nodded and picked up the thread.

"So it's a little brat from the Yuanfei Clan. You're unlucky to have run into us brothers today!"

As soon as Uchiha A finished speaking, he used the Body Flicker Technique and rushed outside. Uchiha B grinned and followed.

The Uchiha A-and-B duo gave the boy outside a brutal beating. When the girl beside him tried to stop them, she was kicked flying as well.

Judging by their appearances, they should have been Asuma and Kurenai Yuhi. Qian Yun lowered his head and kept eating his noodles.

Kurenai Yuhi cried out, her voice choked with tears. It seemed Asuma had lost consciousness.

Kakashi frowned. "Hurry and take him to Konoha Hospital!"

Might Guy suddenly shouted in surprise, "Medical youth, so you were here!"

Qian Yun inwardly groaned. He had dodged and hidden, but he still had not escaped.

Kurenai Yuhi smiled through her tears as she wiped them away. Asuma thanked Qian Yun, and Might Guy loudly praised him for being amazing.

The atmosphere became utterly harmonious.

"Qian Yun, we looked into you. You have nothing to do with the recent assassinations of gifted youths. Hundred Herbs can testify that you don't know ninjutsu and were only an odd-job worker!"

Kakashi held his forehead. Having a friend like this was truly a headache. How could he say something like that right in front of him?
