Jeanne drove Ren through the city and arrived at a grand, luxuriously decorated manor on the outskirts.
Since there was no need to worry about being monitored, Jeanne openly introduced the place to Ren.
"This is Khaos Brigade's headquarters."
After getting out of the car, Ren glanced at the imposing manor. He did not really understand why Khaos Brigade's headquarters had been built in such an obvious location.
He had thought it would be like Umbrella Corporation in Resident Evil, with a secret underground base.
Seemingly noticing Ren's confusion, Jeanne gave a light laugh and explained.
"I was confused at first too, but this is Romania. Although it's only a little over a thousand kilometers from Rome, the Church's influence cannot reach here. Likewise, the Fallen Angels, Devils, and other pantheons have very little influence here."
"And that is because this is the country of vampires."
When Jeanne mentioned vampires, Ren immediately understood.
When vampires were mentioned, most people's first impression was Count Dracula.
The famous Dracula's Castle was located in Romania.
Ren had dealt with quite a few vampires before. His biggest impression of them was that, unlike Stray Devils, they liked living in groups, going to nightclubs, doing nothing all day, and throwing parties.
This was actually due to the unique nature of the vampire race.
Vampires looked almost identical to humans. Unlike Stray Devils, whose demonic power would run wild after leaving their masters and make them increasingly grotesque, forcing them to hide in dark, damp, abandoned buildings.
But vampires could blend freely into human society. Other than being unable to endure prolonged sunlight or holy light, they had almost no weaknesses.
Most importantly, vampires were popular among some young people these days.
Ren felt that this was definitely inseparable from Hollywood's Twilight.
Back to the point.
