Background

The Ascension Immortal Clan originated from the human race, but divine blood flowed through its members. They regarded this bloodline as proof that they were immortals rather than humans. Their small population and difficult reproduction were offset by every member being a natural cultivator from birth. 126

After defeating humanity in an ancient war, the clan forced the surviving humans into the land enclosed by the Earth-Woe Fog Sea and Hammer Immortal Mountains. The humans established the Ten-Finger Heaven Gate grand formation, while Hammer Immortal Mountains became the barrier against further Immortal Clan invasion. 126

The clan's own history includes the Moon-Grasping Immortal Sect, whose surviving disciples split into the Yang Tiger and Frost Dragon branches after an ancient calamity. These became two of the strongest pillars among the clan's Twelve Branches. 173

The origin of the race is later cast into doubt. Spirit-patterned corpse creatures bearing Spirit Source Seals possess internal modifications resembling the routes through which Immortal Clan members circulate immortal qi. Chu He consequently questions whether the race arose naturally or was artificially created. 177 Ancient Clan elders later state that the Dao Palace's supreme existence had once belonged to the Ancient Clan before creating a new race and turning against his former allies. 369

Appearance

Immortal Clan members are generally humanoid and are distinguished by a three-leaf clover-like Spirit Source Seal between the brows.

History

Lower-Realm Expansion and Conflict

The clan treated humans as inferior resources, with some members viewing them as slaves to be killed, raised, or bred. Ke and Xiao's massacre of a fishing village for corpses demonstrates this policy in practice. 103 126

The clan dispatched an expedition to the Moon-Grasping Immortal Sect ruins in the Heavenly Official Secret Realm. Led by Yang Tiger heir Zu Hua, its objective was to recover sect inheritances and a possible clan-guarding artifact, strengthen the clan, and prepare for humanity's extermination. 173

Zu Hua's rise continued after the secret-realm campaign. He became the young clan leader while at the peak Fifth Realm, increasing the Yang Tiger Lineage's authority. 214

The clan then launched a general offensive against Hammer Immortal City through its branches. The campaign initially placed the human border under simultaneous, widespread assault, but Yao Tianxing's Hammer Immortal Slaying Formation devastated the invaders and killed several branch lords. 221 222 230 231

Hammer Immortal City's counteroffensive captured four branch bases, killed the old clan chief and six peak Sixth Realm experts, and forced the clan to concede territory and cease openly enslaving and breeding humans in the Great Wilderness. 234

Zu Hua's Holy Lord Crisis

After the defeat, Zu Hua became an Ascension Immortal Holy Lord. He devoured fellow clansmen and used blood-refining secret arts to create additional embryonic worlds, causing surviving Immortal Clan cultivators to flee toward Hammer Immortal territory in terror. 266 267

Heaven Beyond Heaven

In the upper realm, the Ascension Immortal Clan is known simply as the Immortal Clan, while the Human Clan is known as the Ancient Clan. The two remained locked in an inherited conflict, with the Ancient Clan occupying a weaker position among the four great races. 245

At the Immortal Martial Battle Platform, Immortal Clan cultivators attempted to capture Chu He for a reward. They later imposed a condition that he must guard an arena alone against all challengers, escalating the contest into a confrontation between the Immortal and Ancient Clans. 273 277

The Immortal Clan's prodigies supported Zhong Zhiyue by pouring their power into him and forcibly opening his origin. Chu He's Dao Fist fed upon these bestowed divine abilities, turning their collective reinforcement into a weakness. 286

Chu He subsequently killed large numbers of the clan's Seventh Realm prodigies, including the Primordial Sacred Body. The resulting losses prompted the Immortal Clan to declare war on the Ancient Clan and mobilize multiple sects against him. 293

War for the Ancestral Dragon Tree

After Chu He obtained the Ancestral Dragon Tree, Immortal Clan patriarchs attempted to kill him outside the Void Mausoleum. Their subsequent invasion of Ancient Clan territory demanded the tree's surrender and escalated into a full-scale war. 347 354

The clan fielded a vast force of soldiers, prodigies, Near-Dao practitioners, and ancestors. Despite numerical superiority, its armies suffered immense losses against the Ancient Clan's iron armies and killing formations. 355 356

The invasion temporarily captured Ancient Clan elders and killed members of the Hundred Kings, but Chu He's return reversed the battlefield's momentum. His presence alone caused portions of the Immortal Clan army to flee. 359 360

Dao Palace Unification and Fall

The Dao Palace ultimately emerged from the Origin Sea, unified the Immortal Clan, established a centralized military structure, and began cleansing its territories of foreign races. 376 378

Its Innate Dao Palace opened to Immortal Clan geniuses and revealed a reserve of Origin Sea-tempered Dao-proving cultivators. This marked the clan's final preparations for war across the heavens. 377 378

The Immortal Clan later joined the Devil Race in a major offensive against the Ancient and Saint Clans. Its forbidden experts and Dao Palace forces attempted to kill Chu He but failed to overcome his Heavenly Dao Vein and Forbidden Realm strength. 386 387 388

Chu He eventually shattered the Innate Dao Palace's origin with the aid of Martial God Mountain. The collapse destroyed the clan's central power structure, killed many of its forbidden beings and ancestors, and left its remaining forces unable to threaten the other clans on the same scale. 390
