Background / History

Ye Xishui was once the Holy Spirit Cult's Saintess. Old Ghost Zhongli used her to separate Mu En and Long Xiaoyao, the Black and White Dual Sacred Dragons, whose martial soul fusion skill made them a threat to the cult. Both men fell in love with her; Ye Xishui chose Mu En publicly while continuing to manipulate Long Xiaoyao. 147

On the eve of her wedding to Mu En, she drugged the two dragons differently—sedating Mu En and giving Long Xiaoyao an aphrodisiac—then slept with Long Xiaoyao. She subsequently fed each man a version of events that cultivated guilt, causing both to blame themselves for her eventual association with the Holy Spirit Cult. 116 147

Her later history became the subject of continent-wide rumors. Ye Xishui acknowledges that she plotted against the two dragons and deliberately arranged the night with Long Xiaoyao, but rejects claims that Old Ghost Zhongli's violation of her was consensual or desired. 151

Ye Xishui bore Long Xiaoyao's child in secret and entrusted the child to another family, fearing that a connection to an Evil Soul Master would damage both the child's life and Long Xiaoyao's reputation. Personality

Ye Xishui is calculating, opportunistic, and highly controlling. When leaked intelligence falsely identified Xuan Zi as a Holy Spirit Cult Supreme Elder, she did not attempt to correct the lie; instead, she ordered the cult to honor him as one, hoping to turn the accusation into a real asset. 116

She is intensely ambitious, coveting both the Immortal Herbs of the Extreme North and Shrek Academy's Golden Ancient Tree. Her response to the leaks was to investigate their source while positioning the Holy Spirit Cult to profit from the resulting instability. 117

Ye Xishui is also ruthless toward anyone she considers expendable. She coerces major factions through threats against their younger generation, demands that they surrender large portions of their Titled Douluo forces, and kills fleeing civilians after the identities of the Extreme North trio are exposed. 139 140 144

Despite this cruelty, Yan Shaozhe's death elicits genuine grief from her. She concealed his lineage from Long Xiaoyao to spare him the pain of discovering a descendant only after that descendant had died. 124 125
