Ice Empress arrived at the Ice Crystal Palace after locating a Ten-Thousand-Year Snow Lotus for Snow Empress, intending to help her closest companion prepare for the seven-hundred-thousand-year heavenly tribulation. She was stunned to find Snow Empress caring for the infant Ling Xiao, then learned that he was an innate lightning spirit whose potential could exceed Snow Empress’s own. 4 5
Initially calling Ling Xiao a “little burden,” she became alarmed that Snow Empress was spending soul power to sustain him while facing a dangerous tribulation herself.
