Background / History

Huo Yuhao grew up at the White Tiger Duke's Estate, where he and his mother, Huo Yun'er, endured contempt and bullying. During her illness, he learned to prepare grilled fish and took responsibility for her meals. After Huo Yun'er died, he buried her himself and fled the estate, consumed by grief and a determination to gain strength and avenge her. 20 45

In the Great Star Dou Forest, he encountered Sky Dream Iceworm, whose persuasive promises drew him into the so-called “God-Making Project.” Tian Meng became his first soul ring, while the remnant soul of Electrolux entered his Sea of Spirit. Tang Ya and Bei Bei later met Huo Yuhao, brought him into the Tang Sect, and helped him enroll at Shrek Academy, where Wang Dong became his roommate. 20

During a school break, Tian Meng convinced Huo Yuhao to travel to the Extreme North under the pretense of obtaining a powerful second martial soul. He endured the journey with minimal protection from the cold, unaware that Tian Meng intended to use him as a container for the Ice Empress's power. 45 46

The plan collapsed when the Ice Empress revealed that she no longer needed Tian Meng's help to overcome her heavenly tribulation. Huo Yuhao learned that Tian Meng had concealed its true purpose, leaving him devastated and distrustful. 48 51

Ling Xiao then targeted both Huo Yuhao and Tian Meng. He invaded Huo Yuhao's Sea of Spirit to seize Tian Meng's origin, forcing Electrolux to take control of Huo Yuhao's body and flee through spatial magic. Electrolux expended part of Tian Meng's origin to preserve Huo Yuhao's life, then teleported him near Shrek City. Bei Bei and Tang Ya found the injured Huo Yuhao and brought him to Shrek Academy for treatment. Wang Dong cared for Huo Yuhao during his coma, helping him awaken. Seeking revenge against Ling Xiao and the Extreme North soul beasts, Huo Yuhao provided Shrek Academy with Tian Meng's memories of the Ice Jade Scorpion and Ice Silkworm territories. He specifically suggested using Ice Silkworms as bait to lure Ice Jade Scorpions, allowing Yan Shaozhe and the Sea God's Pavilion to act on the information. 71 72

Unable to return to the closely watched Extreme North, Huo Yuhao later entered the Great Star Dou Forest and awakened his second martial soul, a Titan Giant Ape. He presented his delayed awakening as a consequence of his childhood frailty and the crisis he experienced in the Extreme North. 83

During the tournament final, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong defeated Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen in the opening match of the 2-2-3 round. Huo Yuhao is intensely driven by grief, revenge, and a desire to become stronger. His mother's death and his treatment at the White Tiger Duke's Estate shape his determination to seek power, even when he is physically exhausted or endangered by the Extreme North's climate. 20 45 46

He initially places deep trust in Sky Dream Iceworm, calling him “Brother Sky Dream” and believing his promises. The revelation that Tian Meng had used him as a vessel leaves him shaken, self-doubting, and emotionally withdrawn. 45 48 51

After the Extreme North incident, his thoughts become increasingly vengeful. While unconscious in Shrek Academy's infirmary, he directs resentment toward Ling Xiao, the Ice and Snow Empresses, and the White Tiger Duke's Estate, and considers using information about the Extreme North to provoke conflict through Yan Shaozhe. 58
