With a fire elemental plane powering his tower, he expanded his territory and sent his demon legions against the devils, while Anog and Kolsama sought ways to turn against him.

• Charles returned to Isata as a Great Demon and fourth-circle wizard, revealed his enormous elemental true body, and negotiated trade and cooperation with the wizard Sages.
• Charles returned to the Abyss, built a wizard tower from Abyssal materials, and strengthened his forces by helping Flame Ratmen and other demons advance.
• Anog attacked Charles’s tower, but Charles and his Greater Demons wounded him and forced him to retreat, and Charles then used Anog’s conflict with Kolsama to obtain rule power and trade healing potions to both rivals.

Charles broke through to five-ring wizardry, defeated Anog and Dorkas, and rose to sixth-rank power through authority. As Anog and Kolsama plotted against him and a vast devil army advanced, Charles withdrew to Millstone Fortress and began striking the devils with sudden attacks.

• Charles broke through to the Fifth Circle, defeated Anog, and claimed the authority Anog had left behind.
• Charles expanded his territory and fed the devils a mix of true and false intelligence while sending his forces against their settlements.
• Charles captured Dorkas, overcame him in battle, and forced him to submit and surrender his demon true name.
• As his territory grew, Charles reached sixth-rank power through authority and drew the alarm of Anog and Kolsama.
• Anog and Kolsama tried to arrange an alliance against Charles, but their meeting ended in mutual accusations and injuries.

Charles defended Millstone Fortress, defeated the Devil Marquis, and routed the devil legions. He then hunted down Kolsama, claimed his authority, and ordered a campaign to conquer the Abyss World.

• Charles organized Millstone Fortress’s defenses as the devils besieged it, while Anog raided devil settlements and later withdrew into Purgatory.
• Charles allied with Kolsama against the Devil Marquis, then trapped and killed the marquis after Kolsama fled the battle.

Charles forged the remains of Kolsama and the Devil Marquis into powerful equipment, became Abyss Overlord, and led his layer out of Purgatory. Back in Isata, he was recognized as a Fifth-Circle Wizard Sage and began researching how to become a god, while Duss Augustus’s bloodline drew the wizards’ attention.

• Charles forged Kolsama’s corpse and heart core into Demon Sword: Doomsday Wildfire, then made the Devil Marquis’s remains into Immortal Calamity Ashes.
• Charles became Abyss Overlord, rallied the demons, and severed his weakened Abyss layer from Purgatory to escape a powerful devil duke.
• Charles expanded his Abyssal trade and resource network, opened a canal to the Sun Furnace, and ordered Mark to build ships and ports.
