every legendary demon and every Abyssal Lord was one of Its most beloved children.
Every Abyssal Lord represented a portion of the Abyssal Will's power. Once these Abyssal Lords were slain, what was lost was the power of the Abyss itself.

There was simply no way to make up for the losses. If they wanted to hold their defensive lines, they had only one path.
Hire mercenaries, or accept Huo Ling's encroachment of authority and allow him to place some soldiers among their forces.
