Unit after unit encircled and hunted down the demons escaping from the main battlefield. Fighting this way kept casualties low while still killing no small number of demons.

Inside the fortress, Gaden sensed the number of divine servants and clerical soldiers within it and could not help closing his eyes.

The number of divine servant soldiers had dwindled greatly compared with before the battle began. Some had died at the demons' hands.

Others had been drained dry of divine power and souls by Kim.

As the number of divine servant soldiers fell, the casualty rate among the clerical soldiers inevitably rose.

At this point in the Blood War, fewer than a quarter of the clerics remained alive. It was a bloody, brutal battle.

Looking at the legendary battlefield in the sky, the dozen or so legendary demons still remaining, and the low- and mid-tier demons covering the ground, Gaden made a decision. He deactivated the anti-teleportation divine array activated by the God of Courage.

This divine array had originally been meant to limit the demons' combat power, but it had also trapped every legendary demon here.

Now that the anti-teleportation array had been shut down, none of the demons were willing to continue fighting such a clearly losing battle.
