"Koro, what is going on?"
The god as dazzling as radiance slowly withdrew the brilliance emanating from himself and asked.
His voice carried a powerful majesty. If mortals heard it, they would likely feel compelled to fall to their knees in worship.
As this god withdrew his power and radiance, his appearance became visible.
This god's divine body stood nearly eighteen meters tall, clad head to toe in armor that shone with golden light.
His weapon was a broad-bladed two-handed greatsword, while a heavy shield still hung upon his back.
His face was stern and majestic, his hair a cascade of gold. Even his eyes seemed forged from the sun itself, radiating a faint golden glow.
Fine patterns covered his skin, formed from tiny golden runes.
Divine power flowed through those fine patterns, making them resemble streams of molten gold.
He was the God of Radiance of the Hemel Plane.
In any plane, the sun and moon were embodiments of the power of laws.
Only in a very small number of planes did the sun and moon exist as tangible celestial bodies.
In the vast majority of planes, the sun and moon were projections of the power of laws, without physical form.
Throughout the growth of a plane's living beings, from barbarism to civilization,
from weakness to strength, the sun remained eternal and unchanging.
Almost every form of life in every plane regarded the sun with reverence.
Other than subterranean life, every lifeform and civilization that could see the sun
had records and worship of a sun god in their myths.
Thus, once a plane possessed the foundation to give birth to gods and experts capable of ascending to godhood appeared,
the first god able to ascend had a high probability of choosing a sun god as his divine identity.
