Almost every legend in the sky bore injuries of varying severity.
Several legends had even fallen in battle—there were greater devils among them, as well as legendary undead.

Several enormous gashes marked the outer heavy armor. Some had been carved by Abyssal Lord claws and fangs, while others had been left by heavy weapons.
Even the runes on the armor plates had been worn away, their enchantments erased.
Huo Ling casually tore off a large piece of armor plating and put it away.
From head to toe, Huo Ling radiated a blood-soaked aura. Drops of blood containing immense power trickled down from his armor.
Some of that blood belonged to his enemies. Some belonged to him.
Looking at the enormous corpse in his spatial equipment, Huo Ling's exhausted face twisted into a smile.
With his body drenched in blood and murderous aura boiling around him, Huo Ling's smile looked especially savage.
"Clean up the battlefield immediately! The wounded, recover and tend your injuries at once! Fiercer battles are waiting for us ahead!"
Huo Ling's voice slowly carried across the entire battlefield.
The greater devils shouted, "By your command, Commander!"
In the rear, the liches swiftly summoned vast numbers of undead soldiers and sent them back to the first layer of walls, where they established a defensive line.
