Background / History
Yang Estate
Zou Feng begins as a transmigrated household slave of Yang Estate. Refusing to accept a life of servitude, he finds the Five Poisons Palm manual left by a predecessor who died cultivating it and starts practicing despite its lethal side effects. His golden finger allows those side effects to be shifted to Li Rui, the servant who reported him. 1
He maintains a public façade as an unusually gifted practitioner of the Five-Beasts Stance Exercise while secretly cultivating poison arts. Luo Yong takes him as an apprentice in the estate kitchen, while martial instructor Zhao Tianhu recognizes his talent and gives him private instruction. 2 12 18
After publicly entering the ranks, Zou Feng secures his freedom from Yang Estate. Yang Wu provides silver and Blood Qi Pills as a parting gift, while Zhao Tianhu supports his departure despite the risk to his own position. 45 48
Black Flood Dragon Gang and Hongxing Gang
Zou Feng joins the Black Flood Dragon Gang through its formal initiation ceremony and becomes an incense master. He later manages a warehouse in Yuan Guang County, where he begins a prolonged conflict with fellow manager Ma Pingchuan. 51 54
He rises through the gang by combining poison cultivation, medicine, strategic violence, and the Investiture of the Gods List. After Deng Guangxin’s death and the collapse of the old leadership, Zou Feng helps absorb the Mountains and Rivers Society and Vermilion Heart Alliance into the newly formed Hongxing Gang, favoring Wang Xingjian for the position of branch master. 108 134
As Hongxing Gang’s chief helmsman, he plans to secure cultivation resources and advance into higher realms rather than remain dependent on the unstable underworld of Yuan Guang County. 132 133
Azure Nether Palace
Seeking the complete legacy behind his original Five Poisons Palm, Zou Feng becomes a guest elder of Azure Nether Palace. He accepts the Five-Poison Heart-Eating Curse without hesitation in exchange for access to the sect’s resources. 196
Within Azure Nether Palace, he improves his Five Poisons Sacred Lotus Skill, refines Gu King poisons, acquires techniques from Spider Cave and Centipede Ridge, and becomes increasingly entangled in the conflict with the Heavenly Origin Sword Sect. He kills the third-rank sword cultivator He Yuan with the Five Poisons Heart-Burning Palm. 210 214 217
Cauldron Heaven Immortal Sect
After entering the Cauldron Heaven Immortal Sect, Zou Feng applies his poison arts to immortal cultivation. He cultivates in Earth Baleful Ravine, earns Immortal Fate through cooking and combat, and rapidly progresses from outer sect disciple to inner sect disciple. 269 270 294
He establishes a heaven-tier Dao foundation, gains first place on the Heaven-Ascending Ranking through his thought-body, and becomes a core disciple. The Heavenly Dao Cauldron subsequently assigns him the task of personally killing Gongyang Wuji. 341 348 425 426
During the Northern Region campaign, Zou Feng advances to Golden Core, acquires the Blood-Spirit Avatar Technique, and creates two external incarnations: Zou Yi, who cultivates poison arts in an outer realm, and Zou Er, who hunts bandit cultivators and refines external elixirs. 410 431 433
Following his Nascent Soul breakthrough, the Heavenly Dao Cauldron arrives to crown him as a personal disciple of the Cauldron Heaven Immortal Sect. 471 472
Appearance
Zou Feng begins as a handsome but dark-skinned, rough-looking young servant. Successive body-tempering and poison arts make his physique sturdier, his skin fairer and smoother, and his bearing increasingly unsettling. 19 59 85
- Cultivating sinister arts gives him a naturally wicked, troublemaking aura that attracts attention at Yang Estate. 19
- The Black Tortoise Sea-Calming Force initially leaves him with an unnatural pallor before his cultivation stabilizes it. 59 76
- The Calamity Ember Undying Body makes his body more proportionate, sturdy, and resilient. 85
- Refining clam poison gives him an indefinable charm capable of drawing those beneath his realm without their awareness unless he suppresses it. 402
- He can deliberately disguise his condition, including feigning severe internal injury and cultivation backlash. 220
Personality
Zou Feng is pragmatic, ambitious, and unusually willing to take calculated risks. He repeatedly cultivates dangerous or forbidden arts because the Investiture of the Gods List removes the physical cost from himself, but he avoids exposing his identity or accepting obligations that would restrict his future options. 28 44 196
He is vindictive and acknowledges that poison cultivation has made him more narrow-minded and prone to holding grudges. Even so, he has clear limits: he refuses to use people as cultivation vessels and directs Zou Xingjian toward the Black Flood Dragon Gang rather than accept him as a disciple under methods he considers unacceptable. 21 86
His outward conduct can be considerate and generous. He sends detoxifying herbs to Li Rui after indirectly burdening him with cultivation side effects, protects subordinates harmed by Ma Pingchuan’s men, and repeatedly uses his medical knowledge to treat allies. 2 55 76
Abilities & Skills
Investiture of the Gods List
A golden finger that records suitable targets and allows Zou Feng to transfer cultivation side effects, injuries, and other drawbacks onto them.
- Initially transfers Five Poisons Palm side effects to Li Rui. 1
- Later permits temporary targeting of multiple people; Yang Ling and Yang Yanpeng become recurring targets. 8 19
- Its target list evolves as Zou Feng’s realm rises, adding stronger “big brothers” and “big sisters” capable of enduring greater burdens. 108 155
- Can store and unleash accumulated side effects as a decisive combat tool. 392
- Manifests within his sea of consciousness and can restrain listed targets directly, as demonstrated against Mo Jinyuan’s soul. 424
- Begins integrating the sword intent of an external elixir after Zou Feng’s Nascent Soul breakthrough, potentially forming a poison sword Dao. 471
Five Poisons Sacred Lotus Skill
Zou Feng’s primary poison cultivation art, developed from the Five Poisons Palm, Five Poisons Stake Art, and later compatible poison techniques.
- Began as the Five Poisons Palm, a wicked art requiring venomous creatures and agonizing cultivation. 1
- Fused with the Five Poisons Stake Art at Integrated Mastery. 28
- Developed into Zou Feng’s self-created Five Poisons Skill through systematic fusion of compatible arts. 84
- Later incorporates Bone-Melting Palm, though the improvement is limited despite their compatibility. 228
- Uses rare Gu King poisons and Five Poisons demons as cultivation resources. 191 396 426
Five Poisons Heart-Burning Palm
Zou Feng’s strongest direct palm technique.
- Kills the third-rank Heavenly Origin Sword Sect expert He Yuan in a single decisive strike. 217
- Combines lethal poison with powerful palm force and remains a principal finishing move against high-level opponents. 217 236
- Can be used after misdirecting enemies with domains or illusions. 236
Great Salvation Hand
A spiritual and poison-based evolution of the Great Compassion Hand.
- The original Great Compassion Hand requires visualization of the Ten Directions God-King, cold poison, and a deliberately depressed state. 92 93
- Zou Feng redirects the art into the Great Salvation Hand rather than following the original path. 145
- Its Blood Handprint application can detonate poison within a target through a simple circulation gesture, including a finger snap. 149
- Gains progress when Zou Feng resists Liu Chenyu’s hypnosis, strengthening its spiritual aspect. 335
Calamity Ember Undying Body
A body-tempering art cultivated through extreme pain, iron sand, pills, and later technique fusion.
- Makes Zou Feng exceptionally resistant to damage and enables him to endure cultivation methods that frighten his subordinates. 55
- Fuses with Dragon-Scale Iron Armor, Thousand-Leg Dragon-Locking Stake, and Scorpion Demon Armor Formula. 143 214 210
- Reaches Peak Perfection and later unity between man and heaven. 214 410
- Lets him resist corrosive domains that would dissolve ordinary cultivators into pus. 412
Domains, Poison Miasma, and Spellcraft
Zou Feng combines poison arts, Sha Qi, movement techniques, and domains for battlefield control.
- Poison-Burial Phantasmal Prison — an illusion domain used to counter Yuchi Jue’s Ten Directions God-King Hall domain. 236
- Miasma Domain — creates addictive poisonous miasma through his breath, enhanced by the Black Tortoise Sea-Calming Force. 214 215
- Dazzling Dance Poison Domain — forces Yu Qing’s demon retinue into uncontrolled dancing, creating an opening for coordinated attacks. 400
- Superconducting Poison Magnetic Cannon — stacks the External Elixir Cannon, Crimson Poison Needle, Calamity Baleful Needle, Abyssal Vortex Hell-Suppressing Force, and Nirvana Poison Flame into a long-range attack capable of threatening Golden Core cultivators. 392
- Evil Lord Flame-Baleful Poison Dragon Wave — a high-consumption Sha Qi attack used repeatedly to exhaust and kill Fu Jiaming. 319
Medicine and Cooking
Zou Feng retains the practical skills he learned as Luo Yong’s kitchen apprentice and develops them alongside poison cultivation.
- Gains a reputation within the Black Flood Dragon Gang for medical treatment and poison-related diagnosis. 76 82
- Treats injured gang members, including Vice Gang Leader Xiang Kang and Hall Master Zhang Chi. 76 85
- Uses food as both hospitality and intimidation, hinting to subordinates that his Five Poisons Skill could “drug” their meals. 54
- Operates publicly in Qingchuan City as the poison physician Wandering Dragon, Skillful Hands. 158
Blood-Spirit Avatar Technique
A Golden Core-era avatar technique that creates remote incarnations from Zou Feng’s essence blood.
- Produces avatars that can use weakened versions of his cultivation methods and techniques. 431
- Each completed avatar possesses late Dao Foundation Realm cultivation. 431 432
- Is limited to two viable avatars; further attempts would produce impractically weak incarnations. 432
- Zou Yi specializes in poison cultivation and serves in the Poison Miasma Forest Sea. 433
- Zou Er specializes in the Nine Immortal Ascension Arts, hunts bandit cultivators, and refines external elixirs. 433
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Little Green — Zou Feng’s life-bound gu insect; its evolved venom is a major poison resource and strengthens their connection. 399
- Blood Jade Bowl — a treasure usable only by True Qi Realm martial artists. 239
- Poison-Gathering Bottle — another True Qi Realm-restricted treasure. 239
- Dazzling Dance Palace — a mobile palace discovered near his Nascent Soul breakthrough and renamed by Zou Feng; chosen as his tribulation base. 461
- Sacred Lotus — a medium-sized Flying Divine Ark supplied by the Cauldron Heaven Immortal Sect for his Northern Region expedition. 435

- Zhao Tianhu — Martial instructor and later ally; teaches Zou Feng the Five-Beasts Stance Exercise and supports his rise from slavery. 12 45 142

- Gongsun Jinghong — Powerful cultivator and Dao companion; initially regards Zou Feng as a promising “fruit” to cultivate, later plans dual cultivation with him. 189 237
- Qiu Lan — Dao companion who shares the Dragon-Tiger Kan-Li Technique and helps advance it to Transcendence into Sainthood. 287
- Yue Ya — Disciple with ancient sacred-beast bloodlines; chooses to remain at Zou Feng’s side in the Northern Region rather than return to the sect. 435 442
- Jiang Wanzhao and Ye Chenhua — Assigned as Zou Feng’s right and left protectors by Elder Undying. 404
Trivia
- Zou Feng’s original Five Poisons Palm manual only recorded cultivation up to the Entered the Hall realm, forcing him to devise his own methods for advancement. 11
- He attributes much of his early public reputation to using the Five-Beasts Stance Exercise as a cover for his actual poison cultivation. 19
- His cultivation methods are so abnormal that Ma Qianqin rejects him as a potential Dao companion because his body-tempering path is not “pure” enough. 472
- Although he often exploits people on the Investiture of the Gods List, he explicitly refuses to train disciples by using humans as gu vessels. 86
