Ch. 1Awakening Martial Soul, Origin Stone

Shi An awakened the Origin Stone of Earth's Veins and discovered he had powerful innate soul power. He declined the Martial Soul Hall woman's invitation and planned to attend Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy using Stone Village's work-study quota.

  • Shi An watched the village chief's grandson awaken a Stone Hammer martial soul but fail to show any soul power.
  • Shi An awakened the Origin Stone of Earth's Veins, which let him draw endless soul power from the earth and control rocks, soil, and the earth itself.
  • Shi An's test made the soul power crystal erupt with dazzling light, revealing his innate soul power.
  • The Martial Soul Hall woman invited Shi An to cultivate at Martial Soul Hall, but he refused because he feared his parents' killers would discover his intentions.
  • Shi Qiang offered Shi An Stone Village's work-study quota for Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy, and Shi An accepted.

Ch. 2Star Dou Great Forest, Rock-Earth Stone Crocodile

  • Shi An tested his martial soul by shaping earth and stone into a chair and a concealed spike trap.
  • After several days of practice, Shi An left Stone Village and traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest to hunt for a soul ring.
  • Shi An reached a swamp where nine century-old Rock-Earth Stone Crocodiles were basking and planned to separate them.

  • Shi An chose the youngest of nine Rock-Earth Stone Crocodile soul rings and absorbed it inside a stone shelter.
  • Shi An reached rank-twenty Quasi-Great Soul Master, gained the Hardening soul skill, and found that his earth perception had expanded to around two hundred meters.
  • Shi An slept in a coffin-shaped hut, left it standing the next morning, and headed toward a canyon to find a Stonewall Bird.
  • Shi An sensed a Stonewall Bird concealed in the cliff, attacked it with a curving stone spike, and enraged it.
  • Shi An fled toward the forest as the Stonewall Bird pursued him, slashing through branches with its claws.

Ch. 4Second Soul Ring, an Unexpected Windfall

Shi An trapped and killed the Stonewall Bird, then risked absorbing its nearly thousand-year-old soul ring. The absorption succeeded, raising his soul power to level twenty-three and granting him brown wings as an external soul bone, and he prepared to test his second soul skill before returning.

  • Shi An lured the Stonewall Bird into a narrow valley and trapped it between two enormous earthen hands.
  • Shi An killed the Stonewall Bird and decided to absorb its yellow-purple soul ring despite the danger of failure.

  • Yu Xiaogang told Old Jack and Tang San to leave quickly, and they entered the academy while he struggled alone to stand outside.

Ch. 7Blasting Yu Xiaogang's Ass

Shi An pranked Yu Xiaogang, then spotted Xiao Wu and considered how to keep her hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone from benefiting Tang San. At Seven House, Xiao Wu arrived as a new work-study student and agreed to fight Tang San for the right to become its boss.

  • Shi An used his control to prank Yu Xiaogang, leaving him with a painful injury and no idea what had happened.
  • Shi An saw Xiao Wu in the rain, chose not to approach because Tang Hao might be nearby, and considered taking her away or absorbing her soul ring before Tang San could.
  • Yu Xiaogang decided he would take a young man with twin martial souls as his disciple and imagined using him to get revenge on Bibi Dong and the Martial Soul Hall.
  • Tang San defeated Wang Sheng, and the work-study students in Seven House accepted him as their boss.

  • Xiao Wu’s feet became stuck as Xiao Chenyu charged, and Tang San fired a sleeve dart, but Shi An shifted Xiao Chenyu aside so the dart only nicked his claws.
  • Xiao Chenyu accused Xiao Wu’s group of an ambush, and his lackeys joined the fight against the work-study students.
  • Tang San fought through the crowd with Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, but Shi An softened the ground beneath him and trapped him as he faced a staff attack.

Ch. 11Level 24

After the academy settled the fight without expelling the students who had attacked Tang San, Yu Xiaogang took him to the Soul Hunting Forest to obtain his first Soul Ring. The attackers were later maimed, and Shi An reached level 24.

  • Director Bai said the dean would decide the punishment after Xiao Wu admitted starting the fight and Yu Xiaogang demanded the bullies be expelled.
  • Yu Xiaogang told Tang San that the attackers had avoided expulsion after their families paid compensation and the work-study students forgave them.
  • Yu Xiaogang took the recovered Tang San to the Soul Hunting Forest to obtain his first Soul Ring.

  • Shi An reflected on the experiences that had fueled his desire to grow stronger during six years of travel.
  • In Vast Sea City, Shi An bought high-quality whale glue from Old Zhang and decided it was time to move on because it barely strengthened him anymore.
  • Shi An roasted and swallowed the whale glue, endured its effects in ice water, and planned to take Ah Yin's hundred-thousand-year soul bone while Tang Hao secretly followed Tang San toward Shrek Academy.
  • Beside the Lake of Life, Xiao Wu told Er Ming she would leave the next morning to cultivate among humans and avenge her mother.
