Sure enough, the exam consisted of four pages printed on both sides. The first two pages contained fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice, and true-or-false questions. Apart from two questions about soul tools, the final two pages consisted entirely of written-response questions.
The earlier questions were worth one point each; only the longer questions carried more points.

He had only two hours and so many questions to answer. He could not afford to waste a single second, so he simply began.
