"First, we buy a couple of properties here in Kumogakure. Then we hire someone to open a shop. It'll make money and serve as a covert lookout for our village.
"When our buddies come here on missions, it might even make things easier for them. Ah, with my foresight, with my vision, can you really call this corruption? This is noble! I'm looking out for our country and our people!" He thumped his chest as he spoke.
And so, the two men on the verge of becoming "corrupt" immediately huddled together, whispering over tomorrow's shopping list. From houses to local specialties, they looked for all the world as though they really intended to settle down here.
After chatting for quite a while, Hibari let out a huge yawn, his eyelids beginning to droop. "I've been working all night... You kicked me awake just after I fell asleep, and now I'm tired again. I need to catch up on some sleep."
He leaned sideways, about to flop onto the bed, but Kagami Uchiha grabbed his arm.
"Wait," Kagami Uchiha said, staring at him. "I think there's still something we haven't sorted out."
"What?" Hibari looked utterly bewildered.
"Still playing dumb?" Kagami Uchiha tightened his grip. "Don't tell me you went into that place without helping yourself to a little something on the side. We agreed beforehand that you'd save me a share of anything good you found.
