Background
Liu Yuer and Xia Feng met at a junior soul master academy, married after graduation, and settled in Greenwood Town. Following Xia Mu’s birth, they both joined the Spirit Hall; Liu Yuer became a yellow-robed deacon responsible for awakening local children’s martial souls. 1
Before her later transformations, Liu Yuer believed her innate Level Five soul power would limit her to the Soul King realm. Her first soul ring came from a three-hundred-year Lone Bamboo, given by her teacher, while her second came from a six-hundred-year Ironwood that Xia Feng provided as a betrothal gift. 2
She personally awakened Xia Mu’s martial soul and was overjoyed by his innate Level Seven soul power. Although initially skeptical of his claims about whale glue, she spent her savings to obtain it after confirming its cultivation benefits, prioritizing his future despite the family’s financial strain. 1 3
