Honestly, leading the orcs in a migration was quite easy. After all, they had already gone through one strategic relocation, so they did not feel much resistance toward leaving the Wilds.

The question was where they should put down roots again.

The Stone Crow Clan had not made any demands regarding their new home. They were utterly undiscerning. As mentioned before, orcs lived rough lives; as long as they had food and water, they could survive in nearly any environment.

Such worry-free followers were rare in Eladia. One reason Caesar had gone to such lengths to bring the Stone Crow Clan under his wing was precisely because he had considered this factor.

What truly troubled Caesar was himself. This was no longer the time when he had roamed everywhere with two little dragons. Now, he needed a stable territory where he could seek growth and expand his power. Once he settled down, he would have to remain in the new place for decades, perhaps even longer.

With those requirements in mind, there were two essential points to consider when choosing a location: safety and room for development.

Safety meant there could be no high-level aberrations nearby, nor threats from major powers or human nations. Relatively speaking, that was easier to solve. The key issue was that the location had to benefit the territory's growth, meaning it could not be too remote. Ideally, there would be enough transient population to create an exchange of goods.

That, in turn, brought up many other factors to consider, such as resource production and climate.

The northern rainforest had completely become the playground of Green City's forces, while the alliance of southern human nations watched hungrily from the south. Those two directions were absolutely out of the question, leaving only east and west.
