In truth, the voids imprisoning the black-robed man did not contain much power. They were merely sufficient to confine anyone who fell into them.

Of course, even if someone imprisoned within managed to break through one layer of the sword formation, they would simply fall into another void carved out by another layer of the formation.

If they were lucky, they would encounter other individuals and could help one another. If unlucky, they would encounter a counterpart split off from themselves. The question of who was primary and who was secondary alone would be enough to make them fight among themselves.

Even if some of these beings did not care about primary or secondary selves and chose to merge on their own, there were still others nearby who had died beneath the sword formation.

After their deaths, the projections of the swords corresponding to those voids naturally merged into the void. Some scattered into the many sword formations, while others merged with neighboring formations. Even the projected swords of formations that had been broken merely returned to the four swords. With a slight circulation, they could manifest once more.

Simply put, after falling into the sword formation, those attempting to break it had countless opportunities to choose. But every failed choice represented a further weakening of their strength.

In contrast, even if the four swords were temporarily broken, they would only lose a minuscule amount of energy and enter an extremely brief period of weakness—so brief it could practically be said not to weaken them at all.

Once divided apart, unless one could break open the overwhelming majority of the sword formations at the same instant, it would be impossible to shake the formation laid out by the four swords. Yet even then, one could only reclaim one's own power
