In some legends belonging to the Primordial Dao Ancestor, the Three-Treasure Jade Ruyi in his hand had been formed from his ordering of the principles of the three talents and three treasures between heaven and earth.

The so-called three talents and three treasures were heaven's three lights—sun, moon, and stars; earth's three qi—water, fire, and wind; and humanity's three treasures—essence, qi, and spirit.

Thus, the
