What is a devil-may-care attitude? It roughly means not giving a damn about anything. Yun Yan transmigrated to the ninja world and became part of the Uchiha clan. True to his devil-may-care nature, he naturally doesn't care about most things in the ninja world.

First, he takes a look at the Uchiha clan... heh, a bunch of mentally unstable red-eyed fanatics. But what am I supposed to do when I'm one of them too?

Then, he turns his gaze to Konoha Village... heh, aside from the high-ranking officials who are only good at lording it over their own, it's just a bunch of bastards brainwashed by the Will of Fire. Not having been brainwashed himself, he feels completely out of place.

Finally, he looks at the whole ninja world... heh, it's nothing but endless fighting and killing, or constant scheming and backstabbing. How terribly dull.

Yun Yan couldn't care less about all this, but unfortunately, he can't stay out of it-some bastards just keep coming to provoke him.
