Background / History
Zhao Feng comes from a family of hunters in Greenhouse Township. His parents are Zhao Youlin and Yang Shi; he has an elder brother, Zhao Shuo. At the beginning of the story, his previous irresponsible behavior has strained the household, including a dispute over his sister-in-law Tian Cuihua's hairpin and the possibility of dividing the family. After recovering his clarity, he apologizes and resolves to change. 1 109
After narrowly avoiding gang violence in the county, Zhao Feng concludes that weakness leaves people at the mercy of others. He gathers tuition through hunting and other means, enters the Huo Family Martial Arts School, and begins training in Eight Extremes Fist. His early response to threats is ruthless: he secretly kills Huang Biao, destroys evidence, and buries the body. 7 8
Despite being judged to possess only a fifth-grade innate physique, Zhao Feng advances through relentless training, expensive supplements, combat experience, and the assistance of his cultivation panel. His progress overturns Huo Shan's initial low expectations, eventually making him the Huo Family Martial Arts School's most prominent disciple. 29 34 66 104
Personality
Zhao Feng is disciplined, restrained, and intensely focused on martial advancement. He generally avoids distractions, declines marriage proposals and recruitment offers that would divert him from cultivation, and remains composed even when others underestimate him for his background or bone aptitude. 66 94 113
He is highly protective of his family and those he considers deserving of help. He shields Qiao'er from Leopard Lord, supports Zhao Youfang, secures Zhao Xing's release despite past family mistreatment, and risks himself to rescue Zhao Shuo and Wei Yuan. 11 17 84 91 97
Beneath his public reputation for honesty and loyalty, Zhao Feng is calculating and unforgiving toward enemies. He keeps a mental “little ledger” of grievances, conceals his strength and identity where useful, and kills threats when he judges it necessary. 14 73 79 80
