History

Medusa ruled the Snake-People Tribe from the Holy City deep within the Tagore Desert. Her beauty and vicious reputation were both widely known, while her authority over the tribe was absolute; guards and tribal leaders bowed in reverence at her arrival. Long before the main events, she sealed Hai Bodong after he entered the desert, leaving him trapped at a diminished level for decades. 10 13 14

Seeking to evolve her bloodline through a Heavenly Flame, Medusa detected the aura of Qin Chen's newly refined Green Lotus Core Flame and tracked him to the Flame Bone Mountain Range. She confronted him and initially held the clear advantage in battle, only to be incapacitated when Qin Chen disrupted her with soul power and struck her with an Earth Core Thunder Pearl. 11 12

While imprisoned, Medusa learned that Qin Chen knew her closely guarded plan to use a Heavenly Flame for evolution. She accepted his proposal: he would provide alchemical assistance and pills to improve her chance of survival, while the Snake-People Tribe would supply medicinal ingredients for his pill refinement. After the agreement, she lifted Hai Bodong's seal at Qin Chen's request and brought Qin Chen and Qing Lin to the Holy City. 13 14

Medusa publicly introduced Qin Chen to the eight tribal leaders as a sixth-tier alchemist and allowed him to reside within the Holy City. Once Qing Lin departed with the Heavenly Snake Mansion, Medusa began her evolution using the Green Lotus Core Flame, the Ice Spirit Cold Spring, and the Soul Spirit Pill.
