Background

Zhu Zhuqing is the third daughter of the Zhu Family of the Star Luo Empire. She was formerly engaged to Dai Mubai as part of the empire’s dangerous noble succession system, in which the paired Dai and Zhu heirs are expected to cultivate a Martial Soul Fusion Skill or face severe consequences. She rejected both the imposed engagement and her family’s expectations, seeking a life in which she could cultivate peacefully and make her own choices. 77 102 104

Zhuqing arrives at a hotel in Suotuo City and discovers Dai Mubai openly entertaining two women. She slaps him, denounces him as unworthy to be her fiancé, and formally ends their engagement. 77

When Dai Mubai later attacks Su Li out of jealousy, Zhuqing instinctively moves to protect Su Li. Su Li defeats Dai Mubai effortlessly, further convincing Zhuqing that he is unlike the men she has known. 78

Shrek Academy and Growing Resolve

After learning that Su Li will not be joining Shrek Academy, Zhuqing remains in Suotuo City and enrolls at Shrek alongside Xiao Wu. She continues to struggle with insecurity over Su Li’s relationship with Ning Rongrong and regrets not acting more boldly. 80 92 93
