Background and History
Ye Guyi is Ye Suyi’s twin sister and was initially one of the Douluo II members of the All-Heavens Goddesses Chat Group. She was four years older than Huo Yuhao and joined the group’s first encounter with Fu Xi after challenging him in the virtual arena. Believing him to be an ordinary child, she approached him casually and was immediately sent flying; her subsequent attempt to fight seriously ended when Fu Xi shattered her greatsword and defeated her. She surrendered the match, humiliated and angry. 2 3
Despite their hostile introduction, Ye Guyi later offered to teach Fu Xi how to read, explaining that she wanted him to learn enough not to be taken advantage of. 6 During the tournament mission in the Douluo I world, she served on Spirit Team alongside Fu Xi, Ye Suyi, and Qian Renxue. 11 13
After the mission, Ye Guyi chose to seek a place beside Fu Xi in the Star Dou Great Forest. She believed that staying near him could evolve her martial soul, but insisted that she did not want to become merely an accessory to him. 15 By six months later, she was one of the core members of Phoenix Palace and was known as the Sacred Phoenix. 25
Ye Guyi later acted on her feelings for Fu Xi: she kissed him, called Gu Yuena “Mom” to secure her approval, and publicly declared Fu Xi to be her brother-in-law in the chat group. 33 She then confessed directly to Fu Xi, and the two agreed to be together. 34
Appearance
Ye Guyi is depicted in gold-themed clothing associated with her angel martial soul, including a golden gown, golden heels, and a golden palace dress. She has crimson eyes and can manifest small wings. 2 11 33
- Initially wielded a greatsword while using her Six-Winged Angel martial soul. 3
- Her martial soul later became known as the Sacred Phoenix. 25 40
- Her appearance contrasts with Ye Suyi’s darker clothing; Ye Guyi criticized Ye Suyi for wearing black while the angel sisters wore gold. 11
Personality
Ye Guyi is competitive and easily provoked, particularly when Ye Suyi embarrasses or teases her. Her first response to Fu Xi’s challenge was aggressive confidence, but the crushing defeat left her resentful and envious of Ye Suyi’s easier rapport with him. 2 3
Beneath this temper, she is protective of Fu Xi’s inexperience. Her offer to teach him literacy was framed as a way to keep him from suffering losses later. 6 She also has a strong need to retain her own identity and agency, refusing to be reduced to an accessory even while seeking Fu Xi’s aid in evolving her martial soul. 15
Ye Guyi is notably decisive in romance. She initiated their first kiss, confessed openly, and accepted Fu Xi’s agreement without hesitation. 33 34

Sacred Phoenix
By the time Phoenix Palace’s core membership was established, Ye Guyi was identified as the Sacred Phoenix. 25

- Specific Sacred Phoenix soul skills have not been documented.
Martial Soul Fusion with Ye Suyi
Ye Guyi can fuse martial souls with her twin sister Ye Suyi, forming Ye Shuangyi. 14
- The fusion uses Ye Guyi’s Life-and-Death Transformation: Life alongside Ye Suyi’s power. 14
- Because Ye Guyi’s martial soul was described as inferior to Ye Suyi’s, the fusion primarily increases Ye Suyi’s soul power rather than granting a distinct combat form. 14
