Background
When crimson-gold flames fell into the Star Dou Great Forest, Gu Yuena recognized an aura resembling that of the ancient Phoenix God-King. Hoping his return could strengthen the soul beasts against the God Realm, she and the forest’s ferocious beasts fed the flames with soul power and divine power despite the strain it placed on her injured body. 1
The flames eventually became an amnesiac infant who could consume both soul power and divine power. Gu Yuena concluded that he had undergone nirvana, named him Little Phoenix, and chose to raise him as a child until his memories returned. Five years later, he became known as Fu Xi. 1
Gu Yuena protected Fu Xi’s development without treating the forest’s ferocious beasts as expendable resources. Although she initially considered arranging soul sacrifices to improve his cultivation, she accepted his preference for chat-group god-bestowed spirit rings rather than sacrificing Di Tian, Zi Ji, Bear Lord, or the others. 5
She also decided that Fu Xi needed human knowledge and companionship rather than remaining isolated at the Lake of Life. She arranged for a human teacher and considered bringing children his age to the forest. 7 16
Over time, Fu Xi’s aura helped purge the Asura God’s divine power from her body. Once her recovery was nearly complete, Gu Yuena planned to take him to Dragon Valley alone. 25
After Fu Xi returned from the destruction of the Douluo I world, their former mother-son framing became difficult for him to maintain. Gu Yuena accepted his request to call her “Sister” instead, insisting that he not change the form of address again. 31 32
Appearance
Gu Yuena is a peerlessly beautiful silver-haired woman with purple eyes. Her presence is dignified and imposing, fitting her status as the Silver Dragon King. 1 5
- Long silver-white hair 1
- Purple eyes 5
- Often wears white clothing in the chat-group meeting space 18
- Possesses an aura capable of concealing or revealing powerful presences 18
Personality
Gu Yuena is proud, decisive, and intensely protective of the soul beast race. She regards Fu Xi as the clan’s greatest hope and makes major decisions about his upbringing, cultivation, and safety herself. 1 7 8
Her care for Fu Xi is genuine but can be overbearing. When he vanished into the chat group without warning, she became frantic enough to mobilize the ferocious beasts and punished him once he returned. She later worried about his loneliness, arranged education for him, and repeatedly prioritized shielding him from outside threats. 5 7 24
Despite her aloof bearing, Gu Yuena is emotionally affected by Fu Xi’s acceptance. When revelations suggested a connection between the Dragon God and the Phoenix God-King’s fate, Fu Xi reassured her that he would not hate her; she ultimately withdrew from the confrontation rather than force the issue. 19
