Reuniting with Coulson

With Coulson vouching for him, Crossbones naturally could not keep blocking Sherlock. He could not even strike up a conversation with Sherlock, only wave helplessly as the man on Hydra's priority list slipped right past him.

After thinking it over, Crossbones could only pull out his phone, send a message, and return to his tedious guard duty.

Meanwhile, Sherlock had no idea that Crossbones had already reported his arrival to Hydra. He drove his large pickup straight into the so-called core area—the temporary camp built from scaffolding.

By the time Sherlock parked and stepped out of the driver's seat, Coulson was already waiting at the camp entrance some distance away with two others.

When Sherlock closed the door and approached Coulson with Doro in his arms, the expressions of the three people facing him visibly changed when they looked at Doro.

After a brief flash of surprise, Coulson's expression returned to its original smile. The man with a bow on his back, meanwhile, looked at Doro with pure curiosity.

Only the bespectacled bald man standing to Coulson's right showed something else. When he saw Doro, surprise first flashed through his eyes, followed by a hidden trace of greed.

Naturally, the changes in the three men's emotions did not escape Sherlock's notice. However, he showed nothing, merely quietly telling Doro in his arms not to stray too far from him before walking up to the smiling Coulson.

"Sherlock, welcome. Let me introduce you. This man with glasses is Agent Sitwell. The one carrying the bow is Clint Barton. You can also call him by his S.H.I.E.L.D. codename, Hawkeye.

"Clint, Sitwell, this is Sherlock—Sherlock Flamel, an alchemist."

Following Coulson's introduction, Sherlock shook hands with both a Hydra agent and an Avenger as a greeting.
