Background / History
Doro was accidentally created by Sherlock after he performed forbidden human transmutation to meet Truth. Having already paid the price and prepared the materials, Sherlock created Doro through the principle of equivalent exchange; he later regarded the result as a “successful failure.” 2
Though Sherlock publicly calls Doro a pet, he treats Doro as a child and allows Doro to move about freely. Doro ordinarily remains within roughly one hundred meters of Sherlock’s home and often visits the neighboring Wick household. 4
John Wick and Helen became Doro’s principal caregivers whenever Sherlock was consumed by alchemical work. Their affection is especially personal because Helen lost the ability to have children after the illness Sherlock cured; Doro became like a daughter to the couple. 4 5 6
Ancient One also developed a strong attachment to Doro. She initially took Doro to Kamar-Taj under the pretext of research and vigilance, then later cared for Doro during Sherlock’s conflict with Obadiah Stane. 2 47 48
Appearance
Doro has the body of a medium-sized dog: a rough, snow-white, jelly-like form with short limbs. Perched on that body is the head of a pink-haired chibi anime girl, giving Doro an appearance that sharply contrasts with ordinary people and animals. 2
- Jelly-soft body that can be squeezed, kneaded, and handled without apparent injury. 2 92
- Highly expressive anime-style face, often used to beg for oranges or act cute. 2 25
- Small belly-mounted Fourth-Dimensional Pocket used primarily to carry food. 66
- Can adopt miniature armored, Thor-like, and illusion-based outfits through equipment or magic. 65 73 113
Personality
Doro is curious, playful, food-motivated, and speaks in a childlike manner, usually addressing people as “Human.” Oranges are a particular favorite, and Doro can be readily distracted or persuaded by promises of food, play, or new experiences. 2 10 48
Despite the childish behavior, Doro is emotionally perceptive. When Tony is distressed, Doro comforts him with a hug and repeats Sherlock’s advice that smiling can make unhappiness go away. Doro also firmly identifies Sherlock and Pepper as family. 37
Doro is independent when Sherlock is distracted, readily exploring new places alone—from the Wick home and Stark’s villa to the Asgardian palace. Exposure to Sherlock’s schemes has also made Doro increasingly enthusiastic about mischief. 4 25 68 103
Abilities & Skills
Alchemical Physiology and Mobility
Doro was created with exceptional mobility and an innate defense against ranged attacks.
- All ranged weapons are ineffective against Doro by design. 10 71
- Possesses top-tier speed and agility; at full speed, Doro can nearly match John Wick’s car. 5 16
- Has poor endurance despite that speed, becoming exhausted after only a short burst of running. 16
- The jelly-like body is unusually resilient to ordinary handling and pressure. 92
Mjolnir Worthiness and Lightning Control
Doro can wield Mjolnir despite its rejection of other users, including Thor at various points.
- Lifted the genuine Mjolnir when it could not be moved by a crane, then transformed into miniature Thor armor while surrounded by lightning. 65
- Can summon and handle the genuine hammer with ease; lightning released around Doro does not strike Doro. 103 115
- Defeated Thor by evading his thrown Mjolnir, striking him with the Mini Mjolnir, and reclaiming the genuine hammer. 104
- Initially had to relinquish the genuine Mjolnir after Sherlock promised to create a hammer better suited to Doro. 66
Illusion Magic and Cloud Riding
Frigga taught Doro simple illusion magic while Doro was staying in Asgard.
- Projects self-designed illusory clothing rather than wearing physical garments. 113
- Rides a gifted cloud named Somersault Cloud. 113
- The spells are described as simple and intended for entertainment rather than profound magic. 113
Combat Support
Doro works effectively alongside Sherlock by using speed, disruptive attacks, and equipment to create openings.
- Assisted Sherlock’s theft of the Destroyer Armor by repeatedly striking and distracting the armor with the Mini Mjolnir. 71
- Helped Sherlock analyze Mjolnir by adjusting its position whenever its runes could not be observed clearly. 66
- Used miniature divine artifacts to overwhelm Asgardian arena opponents. 119
