Wu Pifu and his companions had no idea what the Neither-Thought-Nor-Non-Thought Universal Aggregate was supposed to be.
The information contained in that one sentence left them all utterly bewildered.
First of all, it turned out it was not a dream.
Regarding the structural issues of the entire Dream World, Gaia Human scientists had always been trying to establish a cosmic framework that could at least explain the Dream World system. The theory that everything was a dream—a dream of some unimaginably great lifeform—had always been one of the most popular hypotheses.
There had once been a religion on Earth whose creation myth held that an unimaginable deity had dreamed a dream, and the universe was merely a fragment born within that dream. When the deity awakened, the world would be destroyed.
Beyond religious myths, literary creators had also conceived similar worlds, though far more wild and absurd. That universe was likewise the dreamscape of an unimaginable lifeform, but it was filled with chaos and all sorts of indescribable beings. Come to think of it, that world created by countless authors was actually more like the Dream World. If it truly were a dream, then it ought to be absurd, unfathomable, and devoid of order.
But if it were a dream, there were two things that could not be explained. The first was the Absolute True Layer, and the second was Ascendant Bodies and those of even greater strength. Neither could be fully explained by a dream.
Even so, the dream of a super lifeform remained one of the most popular hypotheses for explaining the Dream World's framework.
But whether it was a dream or not, Wu Pifu and the others would not have been so confused. If it was a dream, there was a dream's explanation; if it was not,
