Together with another sandalwood bead Wu Pifu had acquired earlier, the two beads pointed toward the location of a Buddhist Secret Treasury. They had also encountered the Containment Civilization by chance, and after a series of events, obtained useful information from one of its contained objects, as well as a Reader Experience Card contained object.
Besides that, over the course of two months, Wu Pifu's group had traveled from the outer edge of the Shattered Domain to its middle regions. The clearest sign of this was the increasing number of strange horrors.
In the middle regions of the Shattered Domain, even world fragments that appeared to contain life and nature could be hiding strange horrors. For example, there had been a world fragment that looked like a dense forest. Even Wu Pifu had sensed no danger or attack. Yet after the group stepped inside, every plant transformed into something that was neither snake nor vine. After sealing off the path leading back into the Void outside, those things surged toward Wu Pifu and the others from all directions, trying to devour them.
Of course, monsters of that level could all be killed with a stomp from Wu Pifu. Even without him acting, Xu Shilan and Yamadai, who had consumed Devil Fruits, would not be easily harmed by them. Counterkilling them might have been somewhat difficult, but maneuvering around them and escaping would certainly not have been a problem.
