He pushed open the door.

At the top of the tower, Miranda sat cross-legged in the center of a stone pillar, seemingly waiting for something.

When she saw Hoffa push open the Astronomy Tower door, she merely glanced at him coldly. She was not wearing her glasses, her face pale and gloomy, black aura swirling around her.

This was a sign that she was about to change personalities.

The air was filled with the oppressive pressure of an approaching storm. Even all the dust on the ground floated into the air. The terrifying magical fluctuations and suffocating pressure were overwhelming.

Miranda ignored Hoffa. She simply looked calmly into the distance, at the bustling Quidditch pitch.

Hoffa slowly walked toward her. With every step, the pressure in the air increased. By the time he stood before the stone pillar where Miranda sat, the air had become as thick as butter, making it almost impossible for him to breathe.

"Miranda."

Hoffa looked up and said with difficulty, "Come back with me."

Her gloomy face thawed for a second, and she smiled gently. "Gorshak gave you a lesson, and now you want to test what you learned on me?"

Hoffa shook his head, put away his wand, and raised both hands.

"Your grandfather wanted me to restrain you with magic, but I've always thought that was the wrong approach."

Miranda turned gloomy again and said nothing.

"I don't want to fight you, Miranda. Stop being stubborn and come back with me."

"Stubborn?" Sitting high above him, Miranda said calmly, "Do you know what I think? This school, from the headmaster to those professors, is filled with nothing but war criminals.

"They sent innocent wizards off to war, to meaningless and unjust wars. They caused countless deaths, and in the end, nothing changed. I
