Pangu's Deal! A Chance to Defy Fate and Change Destiny!

This sigh was far too heavy.

So heavy that the temperature of the entire small world instantly dropped.

The divine light flowing through the tri-colored lake beneath him dimmed somewhat. The white mist on the lake's surface stagnated, and the innate spiritual herbs swaying across the ground all lowered their branches and leaves, as though they could feel the sorrow and unwillingness deep within Pangu's remnant soul.

Li Changsheng's mind trembled even more.

He could clearly sense the surging emotions within Pangu's remnant soul—anger, unwillingness, disappointment, helplessness... all sorts of emotions intertwined, yet forcibly suppressed.

It was the despair of pouring all one's heart and soul into something, only to watch it ultimately head toward destruction while being powerless to stop it.

Great God Pangu was truly heartbroken over this Primordial World.

"Everything you said—is it true? Not a single lie?"

After a long while, Pangu's voice sounded again.

Compared to its previous solemnity, his voice now carried an unconcealable sense of loss, along with a trace of weariness.

Li Changsheng grumbled inwardly.

You can directly peer into my thoughts. How would I dare tell even half a lie?

This mind-reading ability is way too unfair!

But he did not dare show the slightest negligence in his words. He promptly replied respectfully, "Great God, this junior would never dare deceive you. Every word I spoke just now is the true course of the Primordial World's future. There was not the slightest fabrication."

He could imagine how Pangu felt at this moment.

At the cost of his own life, Pangu had split open the chaos and forged the Primordial World, all so that the myriad creatures could have a place to survive, so that the Great Dao could flourish, and so that heaven and earth could prosper.

Yet in the end, the world he had personally created continually declined amid the schemes and slaughter of one calamity after another.

The innate spiritual roots were utterly destroyed, innate living beings were wiped out, great powers perished, fortune withered away, and in the end, even the spiritual energy of heaven and earth was exhausted. It became an Age of Dharma Decline where not even cultivators could be found.

For Pangu, who had given everything to create heaven and earth, this was undoubtedly the greatest humiliation!

The greatest failure of his life!

"Good! What a cycle of the Heavenly Dao, what a calamity of heaven and earth!"

Pangu's voice suddenly rang out, carrying suppressed fury and an icy tone. "I did not hesitate to die, splitting open heaven and earth to forge the Primordial World, only to watch it step by step toward destruction, much less toward some Age of Dharma Decline!"

"This is my humiliation! It is also the humiliation of the Primordial World!"

His voice was not loud, yet it carried the supreme majesty of one who had created heaven and earth.

The instant his words fell, the entire small world began to tremble slightly. Faint ripples spread across space, while the tri-colored divine light in the lake surged wildly, stirring up waves thousands of layers high!

This was Pangu's fury. Even as merely a wisp of remnant soul, even though his power was long gone, the majesty born of the god who split open heaven and earth was still enough to shake the world!

Li Changsheng stiffened in fright. His lotus body curled up slightly, and he did not even dare spread his divine sense carelessly. He could only wait quietly, not daring to disturb him.

He knew clearly that Pangu was now only a strand of consciousness with limited power. No matter how furious or unwilling he was, he could not turn things around.

He simply had no ability to alter the future course of the Primordial World.

Otherwise, with Pangu's strength, he would never have allowed the world he created to head toward ruin.

Just as Li Changsheng thought Pangu would remain immersed in anger and loss—

That overwhelming majesty and fury suddenly receded!

Immediately afterward, an incomparably blazing gaze seemed to pierce through the void, through time and space, and land directly upon his lotus body!

There was not the slightest killing intent in that gaze, yet it carried an immensely powerful pressure. It was almost tangible as it firmly locked onto him.

Li Changsheng felt his entire body tighten. His lotus bud swayed without wind, its verdant petals trembling gently. Even the circulation of spiritual energy around him became sluggish, while a scalp-numbing sensation rose from the depths of his consciousness and made his entire body tense!

He could clearly sense an undeniable certainty hidden within that gaze, as well as a tremendous opportunity—or perhaps a tremendous trial!

Whether it would work depended on this one chance!

"Little one,"

Pangu's voice sounded once more. The fury and sorrow had completely faded, replaced by utter solemnity. Every word struck clearly against Li Changsheng's heart.

"I am now only a strand of consciousness. My origin is gradually dissipating. Even if I exhaust all my strength, it will be difficult to change the overall situation of the Primordial World or stop the arrival of the Age of Dharma Decline."

"But I am unwilling!"

"I absolutely cannot watch helplessly as the world I created heads toward destruction!"

Li Changsheng listened intently without interrupting. He knew that Pangu's next words were the key!

Sure enough, in the next moment, Pangu went straight to the heart of the matter!

"I wish to make a deal with you!"

A deal?

Li Changsheng froze for a moment, then hurriedly raised his head and focused his consciousness. "Please speak, Great God. What sort of deal is it?"

"I will grant you a tremendous opportunity!"

Pangu's voice was filled with endless certainty, as though there was nothing in this world he could not accomplish. "With the remnants of my Creation-Splitting origin, I will help you break through the shackles of heaven and earth, erase the restraints of your spiritual roots, and allow you, this Creation Green Lotus, to assume form against the heavens!"

"Not only that, I will also pass on the Creation-Splitting Great Dao to you, helping you solidify your foundation. In the future, your cultivation will advance by leaps and bounds and possess limitless potential!"

Boom!

Li Changsheng's consciousness exploded!

Break through the shackles of the Heavenly Dao and assume form against the heavens!

Pass on the Creation-Splitting Great Dao to him!

This was not merely an opportunity. This was a chance to defy fate and change destiny!

It was the chance at life he had dreamed of and sought through endless years!

"It is very simple."

Pangu's voice was extremely solemn. "If you accept my opportunity and assume form, then you must do everything in your power to rely on your own strength to reverse the fate of the Primordial World, stop the destruction caused by the repeated calamities, and change the ending in which the Primordial World falls into the Age of Dharma Decline!"

On one side was the chance to assume form, practically within reach. On the other was a near-certain death mission that was almost impossible to accomplish.

Li Changsheng struggled without end, torn to the extreme.

If he accepted, there was a high chance it would lead to death.

If he refused, he was destined to be unable to assume form and would sooner or later be dismembered by the Three Pure Ones, his soul scattered and annihilated. That was death as well!

Both paths seemed to lead to death!

Just as he hesitated, filled with conflict and unable to decide—

Pangu seemed to see through his thoughts at a glance. He spoke calmly, and with a single sentence struck directly at Li Changsheng's weakness, cutting off every avenue of retreat!

"If you refuse, then wait until my Primordial Spirit descendants personally dismember you and refine you into treasures, scattering your soul and annihilating your spirit.

"And you dare play little tricks before me? Do you think I cannot see through them?"

Dismembered by the Three Pure Ones!

He had been exposed!

Li Changsheng's entire body shook violently, and he instantly came to his senses!

That was right, he had no choice at all!

Hadn't he known this outcome from the very beginning?

Wasn't this exactly what he wanted?

His true body was essential for the Three Pure Ones to attain the Dao. Even if he refused Pangu's deal, once the Three Pure Ones were born, he still could not escape death!

Since death awaited him either way, why not take a gamble?

If he accepted the deal, there was at least a sliver of hope, at least a chance to defy fate and change destiny!

What was more, he would have Pangu's backing!

The great Pangu who had split open heaven and earth! With the ancestor of the Primordial World as his supporter, if the Three Pure Ones wanted to harm him in the future, would they not have to consider the consequences of offending Pangu?

A barefoot man feared no one in shoes. He was only a wisp of soul that had transmigrated here, with one worthless life. He had nothing to lose!

Rather than sit and await death, waiting to be dismembered, he might as well go all out and take a gamble!

If he won, he could defy fate and change destiny, survive in the Primordial World, perhaps even rise to its peak and control his own fate!

At that thought, the conflict in Li Changsheng's eyes vanished without a trace.

In its place was a resolve that did not fear death!

There was no teasing in that laughter as before, only complete satisfaction and relief.

"Hahaha! Good! What a bold little one!"

"I am Pangu, the one who split open heaven and earth, the creator of this Primordial World. How could I mistreat one of my own? Rest assured, the opportunity I grant you will be enough for you to establish yourself in the Primordial World!"

"Besides, if you are too weak and botch this matter in the future, you will not only lose your life—you will also cause me to lose face!"

The instant his words fell!

An incomparably vast and pure aura of origin, containing the supreme divine might of splitting open heaven and earth, suddenly surged forth from the void!

In an instant, it enveloped the entire small world!
