Background / History

Qiong Xiao took human form alongside Yun Xiao and Bi Xiao on the Three Immortal Isles. When sea-clan cultivators attacked the Isles' Innate Great Array in pursuit of supposed treasures, she joined her sisters in continuously supplying mana to sustain the failing formation. 1 2

After Lei Xiao and Bi Xiao left the Isles, Qiong Xiao sensed an uneasy palpitation and urged Yun Xiao to search for them. Yun Xiao determined that Bi Xiao had instead received a great opportunity, as the three sisters' interconnected fortune had risen. 9

While travelling with Yun Xiao toward Purple Abode Island, Qiong Xiao discovered the high-grade innate spiritual treasure known as the Dragon-Binding Rope within the Yin-Yang Profound Baleful Array. The rope was also the core of the array's seal, which imprisoned the Innate Yin-Yang Baleful Qi Flood Dragon. The resulting baleful qi trapped both sisters within the formation. 13

Believing that removing the rope could allow Yun Xiao to escape, Qiong Xiao proposed remaining behind to hold off the Great Luo Golden Immortal-level flood dragon. Yun Xiao rejected the plan, recognizing that Qiong Xiao's early Taiyi Golden Immortal cultivation could not meaningfully delay it. 13

When outside cultivators destabilized the array in their greed for the Dragon-Binding Rope, Qiong Xiao burned her origin power and essence blood to briefly stabilize the formation, then sent the rope away so that Yun Xiao could flee. The collapse released the flood dragon, but the Dragon-Binding Rope returned to protect the sisters and later acknowledged Qiong Xiao as its master. 18 19 22

The backlash from the seal allowed Innate Sha Qi to invade Qiong Xiao's origin. She concealed the injury while trapped in the array so as not to distract Yun Xiao, but later became unable to absorb innate spiritual qi or wield the Dragon-Binding Rope. Lei Xiao placed Phoenix Divine Fire into her body, allowing her to begin refining away the Sha Qi. 22 23

After Tongtian rescued the sisters from Zhunti's pursuit, Qiong Xiao accepted Tongtian as her personal master alongside Yun Xiao. 27

She is also restrained and considerate under pressure. Although Innate Sha Qi had already eroded her origin, she withheld this information because Yun Xiao was needed to maintain the array and seal. 22

Her judgment of Zhao Gongming remains guarded. While Yun Xiao urges restraint, Qiong Xiao openly observes that he seems to scheme whenever others deal with him. 34
