Deidara didn't care whether it was worth the price. A sudden flash of inspiration had given him an idea.
They'd only been passing by earlier, but Orochimaru was currently a runaway from the organization. They couldn't just ignore him if they ran into him.
And there was this kid, too. It'd be even better if they could bring him back.
If they were going to trade, there'd have to be some contact between them. Once the formation was gone, or the kid came out, they could snatch him and run...
Orochimaru's ninjutsu might be troublesome, but if Deidara flew into the air with the kid, Orochimaru wouldn't be able to stop them!
"Put the money on the ground. I'll come out and pick it up, and leave this behind."
A Luo seemed completely unaware of what some of them were thinking. He stared at the barrier around the formation, hesitated, then decided to go through with the deal.
"No problem. I've got... Uh, where's my money? Kakuzu, lend me a few tens of thousands... Little guy, how much is that golden bottle?"
Deidara wanted to use the money to lure the kid out, but when he reached into his ninja tool pouch, he realized he hadn't brought any.
He turned to Kakuzu to borrow some, still remembering to ask how many tens of thousands the price actually was.
"Well, it's sixty thousand. I said I'd give big brother half off earlier, so that makes it thirty thousand. Big brother, are you sure you only want this one? You don't want to use your half-off deal on anything else?"
