A Luo is abducted by a Konoha ANBU and brought to Orochimaru through Danzō. His resurrection and unusual soul make him a more valuable prospect than Danzō's promised resources. Orochimaru accepts a bargain to provide Sasuke with cultivation materials and accommodate the brothers' continued contact, then takes A Luo's body away 22 23.

At the underground base, he examines A Luo's severely deficient body, welcomes him home, and introduces him publicly as his disciple. His curriculum emphasizes memorizing theory before practical use, with mornings devoted to knowledge and afternoons split between physical training and ninjutsu 28 32 37.

Death, Revival, and Conflict with Itachi

Orochimaru provokes Itachi by describing his custody of A Luo. Itachi traps him with Susanoo and pierces his body with a sword, but his prepared soul survives inside Kimimaro's curse mark. A Luo retrieves it and places it in the captured White Zetsu vessel 36 37.
