A Luo took out the money to have a look, then happily stuffed it into his pocket.
Though it wasn't even enough to buy one of the materials needed for research, at least he'd finally gotten his hands on some money!

Orochimaru looked around. They were in a valley where they'd stopped to rest for a while after setting out.
After checking and finding no danger, he walked over. Seeing A Luo's eyes light up at the sight of money, he reached out and ruffled the boy's spiky hair, his eyes tinged with helplessness.
He didn't think he'd ever shortchanged the kid. He'd given him the best of everything he needed for training and growing up.

He wasn't as obsessed with money as Kakuzu, but he thought about making money before anything else. That was a bit of a troubling direction for him to take...
